By far the warmest hotel/hostel I have ever visited. The Dolores and Luis couple are extremely warm, and they experience this hotel for themselves. A great kindness and totally present for all questions, information. I emerge from this human experience with a very rich and positive energy. The place, nothing to blame, clean, sunny, well placed, calm.

Just perfect.

It's a quiet, simple hotel, 5 minutes from the cathedral, a small flowery patio and a corner of the couch, welcomed by the owners, who gave us very good advice about Cuenca and its Sigsig region, as well as about the south east (Gualaquiza and the road to Podocarpus Park)

Very calm and welcoming

We stayed with my 6 friends in this hostel following the recommendation of the Routard.Although we arrived in the middle of the night, the owners welcomed us with a great wave and smile!In addition, the rooms are super comfortable, there is a place to rest with sofas and kitchen, and during our entire three-night stay here, the owners helped us in everything. Thank you very much!

Excellent attention!

We had a good experience at this hostel. It’s in a great location, close to downtown, and still feels authentically Ecuadorian. There’s a beautiful garden in the center and the woman who owns the place is super sweet. Affordable and pretty.

Very friendly & hospitable!

After two other addresses in the same city that did not convince me, I found the hotel by chance walking around the city. The place is well located and also very quiet. The two courtyards are very pleasant. It is located close to the main points of interest of the city. Moreover, there are good and economical restaurants in the neighborhood!

A good hostel

Historic and beautiful hostal, very professional and friendly service, and cozy, clean and quiet room. Reliable internet service. Comfortable bed.  I enjoy every aspect of this hostal. It’s also in an ideal location — heart of Cuenca, I can walk to everything, almost never need a taxi, plenty of shops and restaurants on this street and surrounding streets, close to two of Cuencas most famous coffee shops, next door is a lavandería where you can have your laundry washed and folded same day for $2!! Close to Calle Larga.

Absolutely favorite place to stay! Happy place!

A very charming hotel in an old Spanish-style house. You can still hear the parquet crackling and the decor may seem a little old-fashioned but you feel good there. The couple of owners are beckoning you and giving you lots of advice. Ideally located, close to the center and on a street full of super restaurants.

Very welcome

Dolores is like a mother and gives good information about Cuenca. The rooms are brief but enough for a few days, it may be a little cold but there is good cover. Quiet and nice garden. Petit dej possible for 3 dollars but we were at the central market.

Super high quality price

This hostel was recommended by a friend. I did not even ask how much. The family/owner of course is very nice but no English. There is a tiny courtyard with tiny plants and trees. Kitchen is not conducive for use. They only have warm water, not hot. I asked and they said yes it is hot. For a few days, I took warm shower but I was feeling like I was going to get sick because my body was not warming up. So I left. Then they tried to charge me for more than what it is worth, what the father told me and what the daughter was trying to collect. They are very nice people but it did not meet my expectations. The place is centrally located.

Okay? Not really

The rooms are a bit rudimentary, but sufficient, the quiet and cozy place, it serves as a base to explore the city of Cuenca, it has shared bathrooms, not inside the rooms.
