Nice place to stay for some days if you travel with small group or friends. Clean rooms, tasty breakfast, possibility to pre-order dinner and very responsive staff. May see Cotopaxi vulcano from the yard. 

Place to relax

This is a very amazing place, wonderful rooms full of particular detail, clean and confortable. Very tasty dinner and breakfast. The staff was very kind and helping. Excellent location for reaching Cotopaxi.

VERY BEAUTIFUL HOSTERIA

Great position to stop over after you have been to the Cotopaxi National Park and/or if the next day you are starting the Quilatoa Loop.
The Quinta has a series of houses where the bedrooms are immersed in a large and pretty garden. In the title I've already mentioned the view of the volcano which is a bonus, but also the surrounding countryside is beautiful.
The rooms in the Quinta are quite large, at least the one we had. They are simple but with a sort of "country" touch. The hotel offers evening meals as well as breakfast. On the evening meal I think the menu is more enticing than the food and I feel more of an effort could be made on the breakfast.

Amazing view of Cotopaxi!

Where do I begin, we stayed for 2 nights. Our towels weren't replaced the first night, so we asked fortowels and they handed my husband ONE towel.  The bathroom wasn't cleaned the day after our first night or anytime after. The food was sub-par and you had to choose it earlier so they could 'prepare', the tablecloths were left dirty from day to day.  When I asked for milk for my tea, that should be the first thing brought back, not dishes (which were barely even set at breakfasts time) so by the time your tea is cold, then you get the milk. The staff did not care at all, it was sloppy and terrible service all around, every day.  There was a dead plant in a vase in our room, the lamps were nowhere near an outlet so you couldn't use them. The TV didn't turn on, and don't get me started on the Wi-Fi; if you advertise that you have free wifi-sorry but it should work. They had to keep re-setting it (after much discussion, acting like they didn't understand why the password wasn't working) and it still didn't work well.  The staff just doesn't care at all, it showed, and it was a terrible stay.  One strange thing was we were the only guests one night, in the morning a room on the floor above us had a loud TV going, the door wide open, with no one in it.  Odd all around. Great potential though as it's a great view of Cotopaxi and nice garden.  Totally overpriced, as the room was more than any other hotel we stayed at in Ecuador, and was terrible. I can say that the bed was comfortable and there was hot water at least. Also, the smoke alarm in the restaurant chiped for the entire stay. Unbelievable.

Worst service experience in Ecuador

LQC is pleasant enough but despite their website's claim of English and French, it is Spanish only except possibly weekends. The staff is friendly and tries to please. But the  booked price of $75/night cost us $696 for 3 nights-cash- another 14% if paid by card. As the ONLY guests, and without our own car, we were captive customers, as there is nowhere else to eat and drink nearby. The food, though fresh and plentiful, is very limited in variety and waaaay overpriced for being only a few Km. off the Panamericana. We bear partial responsibility for not asking the price of every single item, but really-$45 for a $10 Chilean cabernet? $16 for a little airline size bottle? And $8 for a mixed drink-then charge extra for the mixer? Stunning views of the volcano, yippee.

Once is Enough

Very nice family. Behind our room, a lovely little farm with lamas, goats, a horse and lots of different birds.nice fireplace in restaurant where we spend the evenings. The rooms are great, romantic and very clean. Great place to visit cotopaxi. We also visitig Quilota Lagoon but its a lot further away and not really appropriate if you wanna hike the loop. Taxi and bus take you Latacunga in about 45 min. So stay there a couple of nights to relax and visit cotopaxi. After that move on to a another town on the loop to hike your way around of that's your goal.
