We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The service was top-notch, and they made us feel welcome throughout our stay.For a fee, they conveniently arrange transportation to and from Baltar Airport, which made our trip even smoother. Additionally, they provide free clean cold/hot drinking water and coffee for guests downstairs, which was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay!

Excellent hotel! We also stayed in another one in Puerto Ayora a week before. Almost double the prize and about the same ratings (except they had a large pool). Dreams is very good value for money and in a great location. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 4 days was very good, the breakfast was delicious and also we booked the activities with them, everything was excellent

All of the staff is very friendly and go above and beyond to help you. Breakfast was great, the free cofee and hot/cold water was a plus. We booked a half day tour in their tour agency and had a great experience. Located just a few minutes walking distance to restaurants, markets, souvenir shops, tour agencies etc.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The staff is incredible - so friendly and helpful! We booked one of our tours through their travel agency as well and thought it was great. The hotel organized our transportation to and from the airport, which was nice because it involved a car, water taxi, and bus. Very much recommend this place if you are staying on Santa Cruz in the Galapagos!

Great location  (a short walk  to Puerto Ayora center). It is basic, but very clean and with great service. We felt as a part of the family😃

Staff was very friendly, cordial. We arrived early and they made every effort to have our room ready as soon as possible without even asking. They greeted us with a glass of cold tea which was very good and much needed because we were thirsty from walking from the pier to the hotel. They also let us know that the breakfast time had already finished but since the following day we were leaving early to take the ferry they could offer us the included breakfast on the day of our arrival, so we had a wonderful and homey breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and it was heaven because we had just come by ferry and hadn't had time to have breakfast. They had water, coffee and tea at the lobby all day. We could walk to the main pier and shopping and dining areas easily, safely and comfortably.

We really enjoyed the 3 nights we spent here.  The staff is very helpful and friendly.  The breakfast was delicious.  They stored our luggage when we went to another Island for a couple of days. The rooms on the first floor are a little noisy, but we are early risers, so it was okay.

The Hotel Galapagos Dreams was my base for much of my stay on the Galapagos Islands. The rooms were basic, but comfortable, and the morning breakfast was always good. It was perfectly located, a short walk from the center of Puerto Ayora, where all the restaurants, shops (and misc sea lions laying around) can be found. There is a tour agency that's part of the hotel, and they are super helpful to arrange any tours you want to take, even to the other islands. They also rent pedal bikes there, if you want to get around to a few of the places around town a bit faster. I was very happy I chose Galapagos Dreams to make my Galapagos vacatin a special one.

One Stop Shop

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel! Just off the main strip, it was nice and quiet. Convenient to everything and well appointed. We even had a mini fridge in our room, which is uncommon in Ecuador from our experience. They gave us a yummy fresh juice when we showed up and the common areas are so nice. We arranged transport to the airport and weren’t aware the person was going to escort us the whole way to the flight counter. A simple miscommunication on our part. You can probably handle just having a taxi to the port and manage the rest of the way on your own.

Galapagos Dreams is a very friendly place to stay with clean rooms and excellent service.
Nice breakfast and FREE coffee and water all day. The lunch and dinner were great and very cheap for Galapagos. Only $6:00
The internet on the Galapagos was bad at this time, very slow. Not the fault of the Hotel.

Relax in the Galapagos

I can’t say enough about Jonathan, the proprietor at Galapagos Dreams. He worked with our trip guide from Ecuador Eco Adventure (a great guide service) for my daughter and I in the Galapagos that was wonderful. He was unfailingly attentive, responsive, and available for our questions and itinerary changes. He took care of all transfers, tour fees, diving fees, and even taxis. We felt very well taken care of and enjoyed it immensely. 
Met great people at the hotel. Wonderful staff.

Fantastic budget hotel in the Galapagos 

This was our fourth hotel/hostel of our trip and by far the best one so far! It was spacious, had a couch, and a small kitchen area which was awesome for the 2nd sink alone in a room for 3 adults to be sharing. There was storage for unpacking luggage and it was super comfortable. Our ferry left at the time breakfast normally starts but they made us to-go breakfast sandwiches the minute they arrived in the morning so we didn't miss out. They were delicious and just what we needed! The location is a little off the main area, but with easy access to everything and still completely walkable.  We walked from the pier to the hotel and back again, with luggage and with no issue. My only complaint was that we had only booked ourselves for one night - we should have stayed longer.

The best budget friendly but comfortable and clean hotel

We stayed at Dreams for three weeks while volunteering for a project in Puerto Ayora. The location is great, in a quiet street just a minute’s walk from the seafront and shops and restaurants. This is not a luxury hotel and rooms are basic but the rooms and public areas were kept extremely clean, fresh towels were available daily and there was free tea/coffee and fresh water available all day. Jonathan the owner was friendly and helpful and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Some Spanish helps as most of the staff have limited English. Would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to make a return visit to the amazing Galápagos Islands.

Clean hotel with friendly staff - close to everything

Our stay at Galapagos dreams was amazing, great value and good breakfast (there’s also free, unlimited coffee and tea all day). We also booked a boat cruise through them, which was a better price than what we could find with other agencies. Thank you Jonathan and team! 

Additionally, the showers were hot and had good pressure. The location was great, everything was walkable but it was still quiet as it is not on the main road.

Friendly staff, great value

This place is awesome. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is great, the staff is friendly, helpful and kind. Jonathan, the manager was super patient and attentive. I definitely recommend this place! On a personal note, I am a musician and Jonathan invited me to play on two Friday nights, which was very special to me. I felt part of the Galapagos Dreams family for a week!

Best Hostel in Puerto Ayora

I only booked a ticket to the Galapagos Islands, so as soon as I entered Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz, I had to find a place to spend the night. After walking around a bit, I stumbled on Hotel Galapagos Dreams and immediately fell in love with it. For 25 dollars I had a shared room with two other girls, but I didn't mind. The room was spacious, I had a nice bed, a shower and a bathroom. That's all I needed.

Wi-fi isn't too stable and pretty slow in the hotel, but to be fair, that's the case everywhere on the Galapagos Islands. It didn't bother me much. Besides, they have a wonderful restaurant that I enjoyed a lot with a nice atmosphere.

So, yeah, I recommend this hotel. I loved it! :-)

Charming Hotel in Santa Cruz

Lovely stay at Galapagos Dreams!  Great breakfast, lunch and dinner, good wine wonderful staff (I think Vicente was the main guy), very accommodating!  Conveniently located to the main street: restaurants, shops, Darwin research center...Our tour company True Ecuador used Galapagos Dreams tours for their tours in the Galapagos Islands...Since their office is right next door it was easy to make changes with Jonathan...
