We were a little surprised with how nice the reviews are here, but sadly this place did not live up to our expectations. First, the pros: The location is decent, it's a bit of a walk from the restaurants/shops but it's a nice walk, so no complaints there. The garden inside was peaceful and beautiful.

Now for the cons, room was large but something irritated our family's skin staying here - bed bugs? Not sure. Breakfast was not worth it. Also found out speaking with other guests we basically paid double what they did even though we paid cash since we booked in advance/online - our loss, your gain if you decide to stay here, but still a bit of a bummer. Owner was also hesitant to give back change the next day.  Overall, I would say there are other places to stay while in Puerto Ayora that are better and would not recommend staying here.

Recommend staying somewhere else

Very quiet, from the beginning until the end it was an excellent service, very attentive and friendly staff. I really enjoyed the stay and the security with which you feel <3 It is a good place to live with the comfort of a room and the freshness of the environment, the relaxation place is perfect.

Excellent attention and attention.

We have just travelled with our family, with our 4-year-old daughter. We chose the suite and it really was the best choice! Wide, comfortable space, you have a kitchen and a dining room. The location of the super place, it is close to a park (because you travel with children is great). You walk to the dock and Charles Darwin station, you are very close to everything. The breakfasts are spectacular, very strong and typical. The hosts are always open to looking for solutions if you need something!

Excellent choice!

Nice outdoor spaces (hamac, plants) Basic rooms, quite dark with a rather noisy air conditioning. On the last day, 80 dollars were stolen from our room when we were having breakfast. Our door was locked. Thanks to the hotel's surveillance cameras we could see that someone from the hotel staff had certainly visited our room. The owners plan to add a surveillance camera to avoid this kind of inconvenience. However, the owner took us as children in our presence to check if we hadn't lost the amount. What we declined. One last thing is not stipulated on the booking sites: payments by card with a fee of 5 cents are charged for the booking.

Pleasant exterior but problem at the end of stay

The minute you walk into the secluded courtyard, you realize the pictures online don't do this place justice. It feels like staying in a home, pristine, clean and charming. Angie and Luis are so kind welcoming and helpful. Everything is functional, and the air conditioning is really a welcome thing after a hot muggy day. Thank you, definitely would stay here again!!

we stayed for 3 days after a cruise trip, Luis was really nice and helpful. 

Breakfast is very good, you could ask for more bread if needed. And thanks again for your tips of getting a hair cut on the island.

nice hotel, host is very kind and helpful

Mi Caleta is a nice place. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is good. Garden with hammocks is super cute. Staff were nice. A/C in room was loud and inefficient at cooling, but the noise blocked the construction sounds taking place nearby. 

So why the poor review? Two reasons. Upon arrival, a woman knocked on my room door and began interrogating me about a tour I had contacted an operator about but not confirmed, as they acted in a shady and unprofessional manner. She acted as though she was with the hotel. Later, the hotel would tell me they didn't know who she was. Well, I sure didn't either. So why did they let her in the locked front gate to accost their guests?

Secondly, I lost over $200 from the room. As there is no safe, I had tucked my cash (a large amount as I was heading to Isabela where the ATMs are unreliable) inside another wallet and had hidden it inside my travel pillow. On the second day, I noticed that the wallet and pillow were disturbed along with other items in the room, but (stupidly, in hindsight) did not count it again right then and there since many items were moved due to the cleaning. On the third day, the money was counted and all but a single $20 (strategically wrapped to hide the missing bills) was gone. The hotel claims only us occupants and the housekeeping entered the room and stridently defended the housekeeper. They were unable to explain how money magically disappears from a hidden wallet that never left the room though. I had my debit card with me so I was able to withdraw additional funds, but being robbed rather darkens your vacation experience.

Nice hotel, if you keep your valuables on you.

It is located on the edge of the bustle of Puerto Ayora, in a very quiet area.In opinions we read that the location was somewhat out of the center, but for us it was more of an advantage than a disadvantage, since it is a few meters from Charles Darwin Station and accessible by road to the center of Ayora.The price-quality ratio is very good, considering that the Galapagos is quite more expensive than the rest of Ecuador.To highlight its cleanliness and, above all, the kindness of staff.They are always willing to resolve the slightest doubt.

Encantadores are the only ones.

We stayed here for 4 days and have a very good time. The room is fine with  refrigerator and coffee Maschine. There is a big kitchen, who everywhere can use.

There is also a nice garden. We can recommend this place.

Very fine hotel to a chip price

Nice big rooms (I think we were upgraded), very friendly staff. Good free wifi. ESPN on the TV. Large bathroom with good shower.
It's a bit from the central area, but closer to the research station where there's beaches too.
Breakfast was nice.
Recommended.
