Simple and clean, walkable to downtown, and the AC works great!
Breakfast is simple and yummy.  I was able to check in early at 10:45am which was a big plus.  Great family owned place to stay and very safe.  The room was very spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Isabela. The hotel and rooms are kept clean and in good condition. The breakfasts were yummy and satisfying. There is a space outside to hang your snorkeling gear after an excursion which was helpful. The staff were friendly and the location was very good.  All of our needs were well fulfilled by this hotel.

Nice and Comfortable Hotel

We had a good stay in the Hotel Iguana during our Galapagos tour. 
The hotel was central and we were able to walk everywhere.
The rooms were clean, big and comfortable.
The staff was kind and very helpful.

Nice hotel with kind staff

Stayed as part of our G Adventures Galapagos tour. The rooms were very basic although the air conditioning was of a good standard. There was wifi throughout the hotel, but this was a little off and on.
Breakfast was of a good standard, with fresh fruit, yogurt, bread and eggs all served by the restaurant staff.
Coffee and tea were available in the reception area, although without milk.
The hotel is located a short walk to the beach and close to nearby bars and restaurants.
We did suffer a power cut and loss of water one morning for four hours, although this was throughout the town not just the hotel.

Basic

I stayed at this hotel as part of a G adventures tour and it was overall a good hotel. Unsure about value for money as not sure how much we paid but the room was comfortable, clean and big, the air conditioning worked well and the shower was the best of the trip! The location was good and the breakfast was simple but tasty. Would have liked to have a balcony but there was communal areas you could sit 

Good Hotel, unsure about value for moeny

This is a lovely small hotel just big enough for our family of 14.  There is a great lounge on the second floor which was a perfect meeting spot for us.  The rooms are nice with good beds.  The pillows however too large and hard.  Breakfasts were delicious.  Just wished for whole wheat bread and decaf coffee which was not available anywhere on the Islands.  Lunch and dinner were provided with our tour with Nature Galapagos which was a great tour group.  The quality of the food was good but very repetitive for lunch and dinner.  Would have liked some cold dishes for lunch.  Though the hot soups were delicious we would have preferred something more refreshing in such a hot climate.  Also the dining room was very hot.  Needed is air conditioning which was excellent in the rooms or more effective fans.  The staff here (Paolo and Oscar) were wonderful.  Friendly and effective in providing anything we needed.  Laundry could be done for $ 10 a big bag.  Located walking distance from a wonderful beach.

Perfect for our family

Agree with other reviewers.  Nothing fancy here but clean and comfortable for a reasonable price.  Do get a taxi from the port to the hotel; hotel is at least one mile away on uneven road.  

Walk down Escalecias street to get to main strip of town.  Tourist shops to book day tours to volcano and Los Tunnels are just blocks away from the hotel.  A couple good restaurants too. 

Was a solo female and felt safe walking to and from dinner blocks away each night.  Visited early September which wasn't a busy tourist time too.

Clean and Comfortable

We had a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony which was very nice.  The room itself was clean and comfortable - the only thing we found lacking in it was a wardrobe but they did have hanging space.  They offered free airport shuttle which was great.  The hotel is in a quiet area with terraces on the upper floors which offered a great view. They had a water cooler available in the lobby and also a fridge there that you could store anything you wanted kept cold. 
The only con I would mention is that we were leaving early in the morning to catch the ferry to Santa Cruz and never thought about the lobby being closed and no access to drinking water early in the morning.  
We would definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel is a couple of minutes walk back from the beach in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are sparsely furnished and decorated, but comfortable. I enjoyed my stay here and would come back. The staff are friendly and the place is very clean and well looked after. 

Clean, comfortable and convenient 

I stayed at hotel Iguana on a school trip. The rooms were a little small for five people, the bathroom was also small and every time someone showered, the whole room got really steamy. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from a really nice beach and its also close to restaurants and tourist services.
