I stayed here with my parents while they came to visit me on the island of Isabela. The hotel is extremely clean and cute, with a very central location. It is located right next to the main street of Puerto Villamil and is surrounded by restaurants and tourist agencies. It is one block away from the beach. There are very nice views from the second floor! It was also great to have AC after long hot days. Janet is an incredible hostess, and works very hard at her job! The hotel is all family owned and run, and customer service is very important to the family. Janet is incredibly helpful in booking tours, giving restaurant recommendations, and assisting with anything you may need at the hotel! 

The area outside the front office is very nice to sit and relax in the evening and enjoy the city of Villamil. There is also a water cooler, which can be difficult to find on the islands, and is very important for staying hydrated in the equatorial sun! The amenities at this hotel are very nice, and it is a fantastic place to stay on Isabela!

Friendly Family Owned Hotel

We had a wonderful visit to Isabella.  Las Fragatas is clean, safe, and centrally located.  Janet is a lovely hostess and super helpful-she was always willing to answer our questions.  Air conditioning at the end of days outside was awesome!  The hotel was very centrally located to restaurants and beaches

Clean budget hostel with air conditioning.  We had a very relaxing stay here.  The rooms were comfortable and Judith was very helpful.  Water and tea were provided.  Was easy to walk into center of town from this location.

My husband and I travel to the Islands every year and we are always pleased to see Janeth's big smile.

Las Fragatas is centrally located. We love the rooms, they are very specious and comfortable and  very clean, after a day of exploring is great to come back to an air conditioned room take a hot water shower and use the reliable wifi to keep in touch with family.

Excellent service

Myself and 3 friends came here as part of the Guiding Galapagos tour that we took in October 2017.  We stayed here 2 nights.  This hotel is great for what it is.  As part of the tour we had breakfast at a local restaurant down the street.  There is a small room with a table and some chairs by the front desk that has a mini fridge and water filter.  You are able to use the mini fridge and fill up your water bottles in this small room/office.  There is also a couple of tables and some chairs outside of this small building. The owner was very nice even when my friends in a different room had a mishap and broke something.  There is an area on the ground floor for hanging up wet clothes on a few clothes lines. Air conditioning was great!  Unfortunately water temperature and pressure was not so great for the showers here.  Isabela as a whole is pretty quiet so even though you are very near to the main street, you hear nothing. 
There are barely any cars on the road as most people that go by the hotel are walking or biking.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a lady in the reception.  I never saw her or anyone else for the rest of my 3-day stay.  There wasn't even a person to hand the key to when I left.  No hot water at any time.  Wi-fi only 10% of the time I tried.  The balcony lights shine through the curtain into the room, so much so that it felt like daytime at night.  For a small town, it seemed like all of the street noise was in front of this hotel.  There must be better choices in town.
