It was one of the best places I've ever stayed in terms of quality/price.The room I had was a mini-suite that included a modern, well-equipped kitchen, bar, small table, a mini office area with desk and bookcase.The room area was well-delimited, with night tables and a large dressing room.The bed was incredibly comfortable, perhaps one of the best I've ever tasted.It had a lot of natural light, which I appreciate.The bathroom was in perfect condition and the cleanliness of 10.The only disadvantage I could have was the location as it wasn't so centrally located but at the same time it was perfect for me because I wanted to be close to the House of Culture (for a concert).It's also close to a Megama hotel, several restaurants and a very nice old cinema.It also helped us get to the cinema early in the morning and late in the afternoon.

A jewel that offers more than it costs.

It seems to me that it is a characteristic of Quito that hotels are built in old and large houses. However, the reason I have to rate them at 4 stars is due to the negligence of the staff where they used my reservation, which was 10 dollars more expensive (and already cancelled within the deadline of possibility) than the reservation I made in fact in the final to use. Not making the big importance and madness for the account of 10 dollars but there is the need to be attentive to the small details, especially if you have to allow a great flexibility. Because of my fatigue, I also did not realize at the time, but I strangled the value and then went to compare the number of reservations and there I identified the error. However, detailing small details, it can be considered an excellent order, especially for the quality of the rooms adjusted to the high price practiced.

Great, but there's a need for attention.

This hotel offers a very safe stay with unique rooms at very affordable pricing. The room was super clean, the sheets smelled fresh and the bathroom was renovated. The offer bottle water and coffee with a small shared kitchen. It is close to La Carolina with many restaurants and stores. I highly recommend!

Great quiet little gem!

Great unique hotel. Easy to walk to many places and explore the city and enjoy time as a couple! We found the staff nice and helpful. Nothing extravagant but very nice. Easy walk to breakfast the next morning as well!

Didnt refund even thou i had emergency to leave. Wasnt there not even an hour. Worst was not provided a receipt. Which is very bad. There are better options for anyone to consider. No apology was given.

It's a simple hotel very close to the stop of the ecovia, good location, close to many bars, rtes... quiet, the only way to get hot water out is to open a few minutes before the faucet.

Buen hotel 

We’d read about check in difficulties from previous travellers so emailed the hotel to advise of our arrival time. We received no response so were a little nervous when we turned up but after problems in finding the place (taxi drivers don’t know it and none seem to use sat Nav!) we were checked in without issue.

We had a large ground floor room, nicely decorated with modern wall art as I believe are all the rooms. It was tastefully furnished with enough storageu space and a huge comfy bed. The bathroom was similarly well decorated and had an overhead shower with hot water if you let it run for a while. 

Our room had large picture windows which faced onto a small enclosed street-facing garden with benches and ornamental waterfall. I assumed the glass would be mirrored and was surprised to find it wasn’t- therefore anyone in the garden or walking past can see straight into the room! Also I would imagine in warm weather there will be an amount of noise from the garden. We were disturbed one night by someone sat outside smoking while on the phone, then at 7.30 am by a hotel employee cleaning the fountain while singing along to a radio. The glass in the windows is obviously quite thin so anyone sitting directly outside can be quite noisy.

We also heard quite a lot of noise from the room above due to the wooden flooring and the fact that the occupants came in making noise at 3am then had trampoline lessons on the bed in the morning. (at least that’s what it sounded like.Ahem.)

This isn’t a hotel in the conventional sense. Reception isn’t manned all the time and there is a secure key entry system. There are also shared sitting and kitchen areas so it has the feel of a posh hostel. The room was cleaned daily which was something we hadn’t experienced in South America before and generally felt very clean. However we returned one day to find our room door wasn’t locked. The receptionist said the cleaner must have forgotten to lock it but not to worry as the hotel is very safe. It’s impossible to know the character of other guests so I found that a bit worrying.

In terms of location, the hotel is very well placed for the bars and restaurants of Plaza Foch- we felt safe walking there and back at night. It’s in a quiet road in the new town- you can walk to the old town in around 30 minutes.

In summary- it has a posh hostel feel, very nicely decorated, clean, good quality room. It was let down by some noise issues, which I feel could be even worse in warm weather if in the downstairs room facing the garden.

Quirky Boutique Style Hotel

After a very rough hotels experience in Chile we finally arrived into Quito and I was glad that I found this nice small hotel. As I mentioned I had such a bad experience in several hotels in Chile so when we got into this hotel I was a little concern since by pictures everything looks good but until you don’t get there you can see if is true or not.  As soon I arrived at the hotel it started to rain but I didn’t mind cause I was super tired from the long trip. Hotel it’s small, just like a boutique hotel, the front desk gentleman was very nice and he guide us to our rooms. I must say this is the biggest room during my South America trip, it was very spacious. This time pictures didn’t lie lol , room looks like the rest of the reviews.  I dropped off everything and went straight to take a warm shower on a very big bathroom they had. After the nice shower I crashed into the very comfortable bed with nice pillows. I only stayed in Quito 2 nights but I would say if I had the opportunity to go back I will pick this hotel again. Location was also great, near the restaurants, market, bus stop, bank  and also few min walk to plaza Foch.

Hotel + Arte is a great hotel that is close to everything in Quito and is a great value for the money. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. They also have some nice art in the rooms. Great place. 

Close to the area of entertainment and shopping venues. Nice attention, comfortable and very safe. It is close to the public transport stop. Getting there and taking a taxi is convenient, because drivers know the area and the price is no more than $4 for tourist attractions.
