Exceeded our expectations! GREAT staff, charming lobby & rooms. But it's their service and people that shine!  And breakfast is always a fresh treat. Very safe area at night. Walking distance to good cafes and restaurants.  Friday and Saturdays can be loud due to clubs.

Best 3 star in Quito!

I had stayed at La Casa Sol previously, and without going into detail, can say that it has improved over the last few years.  Let's just say that their "service issue" no longer works there.  Onto the hotel, it is quaint, absolutely clean, charming, comfortable and safe.  I like that the gate to the street is locked at night and that there is a night clerk on duty.  I stayed on the pretty courtyard and was not bothered by noise from the nearby Foch Plaza.  My room was quite small, but comfortable and had everything I needed.  The bathroom had nice towels and plenty of hot water.  The breakfast is more than you can eat with fresh fruits and juice served by smiling good cooks.  They keep this place up nicely, and it is a bargain, close to a lot of restaurants and a fabulous little craft shop.  I am a bit sad that surrounding businesses have closed and are "decorated" with graffiti, but I am hoping this is only a temporary situation.

Much better this time

We stayed here 4 nights in this cute little hotel, just a short walk to Plaza Foch where all the action is for the party crowd. Simple, clean, small room, was all we needed. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating, preparing a different breakfast every day. They also provided good suggestions for dining out. We loved this place.

Great value

Stayed here three times in February. Hotel is nicely located, clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It was a bit cold so staff built us a fire in the fireplace. Rooms are on the small side but very clean. We were able to leave some belongings there while we traveled to other sites in Ecuador which was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location - Nice people

Charming cosy hostel. Rooms are on the small side but the beds are seriously comfortable! Had issues with water heater but it was fixed on time with hot water for the morning shower. 
The pay off to being stone's throw to lively Mariscal is that you can hear the music at night in the background. But not that loud to point of not being able to sleep.

Definitely a go to be close to Mariscal.

Such a cute place to stay when in Quito. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We needed to wash cloths, mid week and they were able to do this cheaply with a next day turn around.  I highly recommend this lovely establishment.
