The Sun Beach Salinas hotel is located at Av. Carlos Espinoza between Calle 36 and 37 in Salinas. This hotel features spacious and exquisitely decorated rooms, comfortable beds, cable TV with 64 channels, telephone, bathrooms with hot water , swimming pool, coffee bar, and wi-fi, large private parking. The hotel price is $ 25 per person, per day (24 hours). Service is good , specially the receptionists and the person who takes care of the dining room. A drawback is that the stairs are too wide and there is always a terrible traffic of people.

Food is delicious

Despite being right along a main road, this place was quiet enough for me to sleep, and I am a very light sleeper. It is a simple place & that's all I needed. If you need more, you should look elsewhere. It is a bit of a walk down to the beach, so if you don't like walking, this place is out for you. I stayed for about a week & enjoyed it. The air conditioner kept FREEZING me out to the point I had to shut it off every now and then.  
Be CAREFUL when flipping on any switches on the wall plate by the bed !
At least ONE is REVERSE WIRED!, so if you are barefoot & make contact with the metal wall plate you will get SHOCKED !
The ladies on the desk were well natured (assuming you speak some Spanish ).
They made every attempt to understand what I said, despite only taking one year of Jr Highschool Spanish, they knew what I was trying to say every time.
You may be able to find something closer to the beach ( almost certainly ), but I think it would not be as quiet as this place (especially if you're RIGHT ON the beach ) & more expensive.

Quaint, Clean, Quiet

I was not totally happy with this hotel.  The room was very small, no refrigerator in room, bed was ok comfort wise, TV worked, and there was a shower with hot water.  Beware the electric wall units are two prong, not three so you will need an adapter for all three prong devices.  The breakfast was basic and I stayed there when a big group was there, so it was difficult to get seating for breakfast in the morning.  They do take credit cards and the beach plus all good eating is just a $2 taxi ride away or a $.50 bus ride which stops and picks up right in front of the hotel. However do your research for better hotel closer to the beach because I believe this hotel is quite overpriced for its location.

HOTEL WAS AVERAGE BUT LOCATION WAS NOT BAD

The rooms are tiny and dark. I read reviews that this hotel is quiet. But it is not true. It is beside a street with a lot of trafic. The staff are not freindly at all. The pool is little and not usable. We had to wait 40 minutes for a very simple breakfast. It is not cheap and you can find better hotels with this price.

Dark dirty hotel

Sun beach is nowhere near the beach as advertised in its name and on google maps, its a good 30 minutes walk away from the beach. Also when me and my associates drink all the beer out of the fridge it shouldn't take a whole two weeks or more (it was still empty as I was leaving) to restock it, thirdly I don't like getting a mouthful of dead dragonfly when I'm doing a lap of the pool. The WiFi signal is only good if you can actually see the router. Breakfast as free though it mainly consisted of scrambled eggs so if you are a hardcore scrambled eggs fans then sun beach is the place for you. The accomodation is very basic though the rooms are clean. It would probably suit someone who likes to sleep, wake up and then get the hell out of dodge.
