We had to spend the night near Quito Airport due to a screw up with our airline tickets. The Information center suggested this hotel.

We had spent over 8 hours in the airport trying to communicate with our travel company to fix our airline snafu. When we arrived at the hotel after 9pm, the two men there prepared a dinner for us. 

The were beyond helpful in every way possible, including apologizing to other guests who were disturbed by my having to yell into the computer for Skype calls to the travel company.

The sheets were so clean, you could smell the detergent, a mild pleasing scent.

I have very high regards for this hotel and even high regard for the men who work here.

Incredible Staff

This place is a 10 minute ride from the airport and the Hotel can arrange taxi service for cheaper than calling a taxi.  The rooms are basic but clean.  Wifi, hot and cold water, tv, bed, and a desk.  This was perfect for my 2 night stay.  Breakfast is basic, bread with jelly, coffee, juice and scrambled eggs.  Something simple to get you started in the morning.  Its within a short 5-10 minute walk of the park and stores where you can get more food or shop and relax.  It feels safe, with locking doors, and a big wall around the hotel to keep people out.

Clean but Basic

Stayed there on two separate nights. The rooms are nice enough, although the first night the room was very small. The free airport shuttle adds great value and is convenient, but the hotel 'dropped the ball' and left us stranded for an hour for our airport pickup. Only one person we encountered spoke any English, if that's an issue. Hotel is under the flight path for landings at the airport. Luckily the airport didn't seem to be super busy. Dinner was a reasonable deal at $6 or $7.  We'd probably stay there again if we had another early flight.

Good value and convenient to airport

The Hotel Tababela Resort that we stayed at last night was very comfortable, well-equipped and safe. The rooms are brand new and luxurious, and the staff was nice. HOWEVER, it is not the hotel referred to in the review "Everything and Perfectly" and some others, and not all of the photos on this listing correspond with this actual hotel. I was so disappointed, because I thought we were splurging on a quaint, interesting and authentic inn with sprawling grounds for the kids to play and homemade breakfast. Alas, it is a straightforward motel with comfortable rooms, free airport transfer, and a simple and basic complementary breakfast. Not really something to complain about, except that I wish I could figure out what that OTHER hotel is!! And I wish we hadn't blown our wad on this uninteresting, if totally adequate place.

Some reviews of this property are mixed up with another hotel!

Family of 10 stayed here in 3 rooms.  Very accomodating.  1-man show on the weekends, but breakfast was served fresh, homemade bread, fresh juice, and made to order.  THe roomare a little small, but very european.  Overall, this was a great place to stay off the beaten path as its down the streat from a small town center (restaurants, mom and pop grocery store, park, church, etc..).  Taxi's are cheap and fast and a good place to stay to avoid traffic.  We stayed here in order to take a charter bus on a tour around the outlying cities of Quito (Oatavalo, Mitad Del Mundo, etc..).  Not much to see in tababela, but its close to the airport, cost effective, comfortable, and an overall homey environment.
