Helpful staff, pleasant rooms and surroundings, and airport pickup included as well as breakfast.  The one thing we were not fond of was the Nescafe they served as coffee in the morning.  Ecuador has excellent coffee beans, so it would be nice to have a good cup of real coffee.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise! It's just minutes from the airport but out in the country where it's beautiful, peaceful and quaint. You travel down a dirt road and enter through wooden gates. 

Gabriela was so helpful, getting us checked in and ordering food for us since it was late. We had a nice, small dinner in the dining room. It feels more like an inviting home than a hotel. 

Our room was small but adequate with a nice bathroom and a small balcony looking out at the mountains. Our bed was clean and comfortable. If you have a room inside the main building you might hear people talking down the stairs or the dining room being cleaned late at night. Other than that, we rested comfortably. There were cottages so they might be quieter but it really wasn't a problem. 

They have a shuttle to the airport and are prompt in getting you there. 

We would choose Posada Mirolindo again if we are going to the Quito area. Thanks for a nice stay!

A Lovely, Small Haven in a Big City

I was in Quito for a couple nights on business, and had originally booked the Quito airport suites as I love that property.  Turned out that the first night had accidentally been overbooked, so I was asked if I could move to a different property just a few KMs down the road, owned by the same people, so I agreed. When I arrived, checked in, saw the property and the view, I asked if I could stay for both nights!

The property is on a side road, and securely gated. It's actually a working organic farm with llamas, sheep, a cow, chickens, geese, and fruits, veggies and herbs growing. We pulled in and went to the main house, which has 4 rooms along with the kitchen/dining area, and front desk. Across the driveway are two more rooms with more space,and a front porch to sit and enjoy the view while sipping on your morning coffee, or an evening glass of wine.  

The Wi-Fi signal was excellent as well, which is always a concern while on business of course. 

Breakfast is included, and made to order. Eggs, toasts with homemade jam, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice were all delicious.  I had dinner the following evening, it was a huge plate, and also delicious. As it's such a small place, there were only two options for that day, you simply requested a time to eat, and the meal was ready.

As mentioned, the hotel is not within walking distance to anywhere, but it is safe, relaxing, comfortable, and the people are very helpful. The front desk will happily call you a cab whenever you need one to explore or head back to the airport. If you want to escape and just breathe, this is the place.

Escape to the country just a few km from the airport

While relatively close to the airport, this inn is set in the countryside, surrounded by a working, organic, family operated farm.

The main house has 4, well-appointed rooms, and there are two additional rooms in a structure on the other side of the courtyard.  Each room is named after a volcano.
We were originally booked for one evening, but added an additional two as our flight home was rescheduled due to the grounding of all the Boeing Max 8s.  

Our first room was in the main house where we spent a sleepless evening.  Guests arrived late, left early, spoke loudly and the noise echoed throughout the building.  Somewhat disrespectful to the other guests.  We were moved to a room in the building across the courtyard and enjoyed a very restful stay.  Both rooms were well appointed and very clean.

Be advised that this inn is located in an area with very limited amenities.  There are no restaurants or shops nearby; however, the owner can make arrangements for taxi pick-ups. 

The view from the property was idyllic - it's part of a farm owned by Gabby and her family, and the setting was absolutely tranquil. The yards are a great place to simply relax, read a book, write, or simply doze off.  Although I was glad that we stayed here instead of at the airport hotel, three nights was too long! 

Dinner can be prepared by the host but only one option is available and there is no option to purchase snacks or lunch.

The transfer to the airport is included in the price of the room when booking.

I am french tourist. All in this posada are perfect. Confort, breakfast included. heartwarming welcome. Interesting price. Near the Quito airport and Shuttle airport available and also included in the price. very good

I loved my recent stay at the posada Mirolindo. The grounds are so nice that my son and I decided to stay right there instead of going to see local sights. Highly recommend it. Quiet, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff.
