At first, the lodge entrance with pond and sitting areas gives an excellent impression. Unfortunately, there are some issues with cleanliness and housekeeping. Rooms were poorly cleaned and not cleaned daily. Towels and bedding were in need of replacement - thin and worn. Pool was full of leaves and sand- not cleaned daily. A few people from our tour became ill - GI symptoms. Staff were pleasant, could speak some English,  but were few in numbers and overworked. There were many stairs that were somewhat slippery due to moss. Resort was challenging for those with limited physical abilities.

I can't say enough great things about our experience here.  Our hosts at the Lodge were so accommodating and warm, the food was great, being immersed in the rain forest was unforgettable, & getting to meet and interact with the indigenous peoples of this area made it all perfect.

One can't help but be affected, for the better, when you see how simply and harmoniously these beautiful, gentle people live with Mother Nature.

So grateful to everyone at Huasquila Amazon Lodge for taking such amazing care of us.  Mahalo 🤙🏽

You'll LOVE this place!

The facilities, the staff, were 10/10 never to forget the Guía Rafael, very kind and comedic. It's a unique and unparalleled experience. They had the kindness to wait for me with the bed full of rose petals and a romantic dinner at the foot of the pool with wine.

A wonderful place with a delicious climate! Loving nature, do not hesitate, this is the dream place to surround yourself with lush vegetation and wildlife atypical for a European! Just 3 hours from Quito and in a non-hostile environment like the deep Amazon so accessible to all! A welcoming structure and impeccable quality of service! You understand, we are all delighted to stay in this lodge!

It's an amazing place!

The place is lovely, very quiet, the cabins are very spacious and clean! The service is excellent, staffed and very friendly. The food is very rich. ¡Everything is excellent!. 100% recommended for family travel, solo or as a couple.

It was a beautiful experience and being able to enjoy it as a family was the most rewarding, thanks to God who allowed it and to you Huasquila.The place is very cozy, excellent care and above all the privacy of the cottages with the sounds of nature, unique!

Delicious food, excellent care, very good tours included, very comfortable accommodation, easy access parking, excellent guide, very well equipped, water scarce in the showers, chocolate experience imagined in a more special place not in the hotel lobby and with locals who were exhibiting on cocoa.

The best option for a Lodge in the Amazon.

If you are searching for a lodge in the jungle, huasquila is the perfect choice. The food is excellent and there is options for vegetarians and vegans: it’s also local products and specialities from the region. We were also treated like queens by the staff and they are just so nice and sweet with every one. It’s really clean and you can sleep while hearing the sound of the jungle. The activities are perfect, we wish we could have stayed longer than 4 days because we juste had so much fun and we learn so much about the indigenous community about the jungle (faune and flore) and more just about the history of the region. Also, if you need an English guide, ask for Miguel because he was just the best : he always answered our questions and if he didn’t know he would check and come back with the answer later, he had anecdotes for everything, he was interested about us and than he would give us more information about that, etc. 

The perfect lodge in the jungle

We had booked a package for two nights and various activities. The cabin was great: large with its own porch, clean, mosquito net, ventilator. The food was also excellent and abundant. Since we were not traveling as a group, and unfortunately we cannot speak Spanish, we got an English-language guide for an extra price. Two walks + a night walk through the jungle, a visit to the Kichua women and an illustrative demonstration of how to make chocolate were on the program. Everything was interesting, very informative and short-lived. Lots of information about the use of plants to heal the Kichua / non-residents. We recommend the lodges and the activities offered. Swimming in Polima was a warm-heated warm-up in the Dwarm-up.
