The Museum View hotel is in a fantastic location, overlooking the Egyptian Museum and Tehrir Square. The beds are comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at everything that was going on. The hotel offered breakfast, which was OK, but unfortunately there was no choice. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Some of the staff, in particular the greeter downstairs, were brilliant. 

Hotel in a fantastic position

Very interesting, but go after lunch when all the tourist buses depart for Giza and you will have less crowds. They also offer student discount but bring your student ID from your School or University. This also applies for all the other sites (valley of Kings/Queens)

So much to see inside

Very nice.best location ever and nice hospitality. Never had breakfast so that I don't know. Very helpful personal.

Very close to the Egyptian museum and som nice souvenir shops. Rented a taxi for the whole week and he was always in place when I needed. 



8 days in Kairo 

Good and friendly hotel! Helped me get around the city. Good wifi. Will also help you find tour spots and give you rides to where ever you need to go. I had a good
Time and the price was reasonable if your on a budget

Good place on a budget 

The personnel was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms could be better cared for. Shower not working properly, bed sheets not so well. But the view on the Egyptian Museum was amazing. The hotel is situated directly at a street, so it is not quiet.

The ONLY thing this hostel has going for it is the location. You have a beautiful view of the Egyptian Museum and downtown.

The room itself is dusty. When the windows are closed, you cannot see through them because of dust and splattered paint. 
There are flies everywhere because they keep the windows open. 
The attendant had to ask ME how much I owed him because he didn't have a computer and didn't know how much he was owed.
So far, there is no Wifi. 
The bathroom looks terrible and the faucet drips.
The curtains do nothing but collect dust.

The ONLY reason I am staying is because I am too tired to look for something else.

I wouldn't recommend this place

Stayed here twice (for only a few hours) as part of the 10-day tour package I got from Habibi Tours. The agency I think owns the said hotel, thus being able to provide its clients with a transit stay. After arriving early morning in Cairo from Luxor via train, I was brought here so I could rest and shower before my international flight back to Manila.

The hotel is small and hard-to-find as it is located on one of the upper floors of a building.  The reason it's called Museum View Hotel, is, well, because you have a full-on view of the Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square.

During my stay, there was a small demonstration happening in the square but it was generally peaceful. If you're sensitive to noise, you may not want to stay here, as you are right smack in the middle of the city with all its hustle and bustle. However, I did enjoy my quick stay in the hotel. While the furniture and fixtures are old, it is relatively clean and safe, with good Wi-fi access. For those on a budget, this hotel is ideal.
