Really sorry to have to write a negative review of this place, as the architecture, which is the reason I chose to stay here (based on TA photos), is impressive, it's 110 years old and has potential if the place were overhauled. Also, Rami, who works there, is very sweet. After carefully reading prior reviews, I set my expectations low, but oh dear...
I believe I was the only customer. There was no running water while I was there, because it's delivered once a week by truck, and it had run out. This did not become apparent at first, because Rami, after seeing the state of the women's bathroom and its lack of water, directed me to the men's bathroom, which still had a last flush or so. It was not until the middle of the night, after breaking my big toe open on a marble mini-step, blood gushing out, that I went on a search. The faucet downstairs broke/fell off in my hand. And so it went. The room was Filthy. I was afraid to sleep in the bed, with visions of ...bugs (did not come away with any), as the sheets smelled of someone else, were dusty, and did not appear clean. No one was around most of the 15 or so hours I was there. Aside from the central location and nice view of sunrise over sea out the bedroom window, the only good news is that the a/c worked. It probably cost them as much to run it as I paid for the room. Very sad. Definitely cannot recommend this place at this time. 
The city of El Quseir is suffering badly - it used to be a hub with a big successful bazaar. Tourists don't come there anymore, now that the big glitzy hotels are right on the sea, and COVID struck a mortal blow. I walked around nearby; pretty devastating, the crumbling buildings and rubble. Photos wouldn't post, sorry.

Sorry to have to write this...

We have stayed here twice now once before covid and once after.  We went with all our children and partners on this occasion in middle of November. This hotel isn’t fancy but it’s just lovely and relaxing. The food is fab, the dive school are wonderful and the snorkelling is first class and so accessible.  The staff are absolute gems.  They all made us feel so welcome and cared for from the lady who bakes the bread, to the pasta man at lunchtime, the restaurant staff the cleaners everyone was so helpful and accommodating and fun.  Hey really did seem to go above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable.  We will be back next October to enjoy it all over again!

Friendly friendly hotel

I stayed in ElQuseir Hotel, a cosy vintage place. I liked everything about it from the reservation process Fatema made smooth till before I left the Hotel. Two Mohameds there made me feel at home. They prepared my breakfast which was decent and delicious, answered my questions and catered for my needs. Mohamed seemed to own the entire Quseir, he new everything: safari trips for my free time, restaurants, cafes, transportation..etc. 
The place is very well maintained and clean with shared bathroom. However, it is not an issue because the number of guests is not that big due to the small number of rooms in each floor. The Hotel us right in front of the beach which make the view spectacular. 
I highly recommend it and sure will come back again.

Old is gold

Stayed here for 2 nights. Not everyone will like el Quseir, a small town but nice to chill and some snorkeling nearby. Hotel was great, breakfast great and the service beyond any I've seen in Egypt. They booked my busticket, had lots of info. Check-out was extended till evening for no extra cost. And breakfast when I arrived.

I want to share my experience with booking two rooms at El Quseir Hotel. First, I struggled to find the right contact details as their website is no longer accessed and used by the new management team. Second,  once I managed to get hold of a valid email address, my reservation was badly mishandled by the hotel. I received an email clearly stating my reservation was confirmed. Then I raised a question about the price which was inflated by more than 25% compared to the price I found on a reputable booking website for the same rooms in the same hotel at the same period. The person I interacted with admitted that their standard price was indeed the one I saw online. I then wrote back to essentially say: “great! So we have an agreement, see you soon !”. Then, the person handling the reservation went silent for a few days.  I followed up and received an email rejecting my reservation as the rooms were supposedly already booked. So two hypotheses here: either the hotel lied to me and is trying to maximize its profit by keeping the room free for others guests who are willing to pay the inflatable price,  or the hotel had double-booked the room and someone (me) had to be rejected. Either way, that's very unprofessional.  Once you write “booking confirmed” to a future guest, you cannot kick him out 5 days later.

Few days to remember 

Our family of four (kids aged 1 and 4) booked two sea-view rooms, and ended up with the whole floor including what was basically a private balcony. We stayed for a week, and could have stayed far longer. Incredible views across a beautiful beach, that we went down on and walked along with our youngest when he woke up early. Easy access (< 10 mins by taxi) to some incredible diving and snorkling. A charming, if unvarnished, town. The owner and his assistants are also very helpful and friendly. We've done some magical holidays, and this was up with the best of them.

The hotel does breakfast, but doesn't have an evening restaurant. Though they will order takeaway from any of the restaurants in town, which works very well.

Beautiful, calming, authentic, basic

otel. If you are looking to touch base with the local life in Egypt, thats the place to go. The owner Adel is very very helpful. The hotel is situated in the old part of Al Qusier, directly on the seafron. Fantasric fishrestaurants are near by. Not to be missed.
