This hotel has the best view ever with a friendly and nice staff . Food is very good. Room service was excellent.  Had a wonderful experience there . Its literally 5 minutes away from the pyramids and 5 minutes away from the new great egyptian museum.  

Best in everything 

In Giza we stayed at Tiba Hotel. Our room was booked by the group guide on behalf of the travel agency with whom we traveled to Egypt. The hotel looks great on the outside, as does the reception area. The room as well. In fact, I would say it's a small apartment because, besides the bedroom, there is another room that would take the place of a living room. Spacious bathroom. The furniture looks almost new. In the bathroom we found that we had a problem with the toilet: the basin was not supplied with water, practically could not flush the toilet. I went down to the front desk to complain about the situation. Luckily our guide was there. He talked to the front desk staff and they changed our room immediately. It's on the same floor, it has the same position, meaning from the window we can see the pyramids, inside it's structured the same. Luckily, we didn't unpack too much of our luggage. 
Breakfast was OK, we found what to put on the plate so as not to leave hungry.

Short but a nice stay 

Stayed in the hotel for two days, room was not that good but value of money, Italian restaurant was good and staff are helpful.

My rate is very good because what the housekeeping lady done as she is very honest.

I forgot my money in the room after checkout but they called me after half an hour to come back and get it.. unfortunately I didn’t get her name. 

My room was 306 

Good and value of money 

We checked in early,the receiptionist ( ms yasmeen ) was very co-operative and allowed us so. The rooms are ok not upto a 4* standard what they show. The housekeeping is good.
The view outside is nice,but the roadside noise will sometimes annoy you.
The receiptionist and the bell boy ( forgot his name ) helped us plan our next journey to luxor.
Breakfast is ok.

The clean for the room its good
But they do fixing and they dont care that the people in the hotel ,,, they put all the material in the floor ,,,,, and this the only thing that i didnt like it
But the price is good 

Only the location and the stuff amazing

I checked into the Tiba Pyramids hotel on Dec 21, 2017 in the wee hours of the morning. My booking was prepaid. The check-in process was smooth. No issues!!!

The hotel was under renovation. Hence, there were very few guests staying at that time. The room was decent. Heater was working fine. Room service was good and prompt. Everything was fine......

Until the last day. 

During my 5-days stay, I ordered 4 to 5 bottles of water a day and 2 grilled chicken. After each room service, the attendant gave me a proper bill for the items and asked me to sign on it and then he took them away to maintain it with the restaurant. I told him to add these bills to my account so that I can settle it on the last day at the time of checking out. 

As per the menu card in my room, one bottle of water costs 7 Egyptian pounds and 1 grill chicken costs 70 Egyptian pounds. A simple math!!! My total bill for room service comes to 

20 bottles --> 20*7 = 140 pounds
2 grill chicken-->2*70=140 pounds

Gross = 280 pounds

10% tax and 12% service tax on top of it. 

So, my total is supposed to be around 340 pounds. At least that's what I thought it was.

On my last day, while checking out, the receptionist (A white middle-aged Arab woman) generated a bill for 1100 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1100 POUNDS!!!!!!!

Here is where the Arab lady started her SCAM:-

1) She said that each bottle of water costs 30 pounds and 20 bottles = 600 pounds.

I asked her to show me the bills which I had signed each time I bought stuff. She said she doesn't have it. I protested that I had signed them and I needed to see them or else I am not paying anything. She tried her best to avoid showing me those bills. But, I didn't relent. She made a few phone calls (maybe to intimidate me since I was a foreigner in their land) She then went to the restaurant section to get my bills. 

In each of those bills, it was clearly mentioned 1 bottle of water = 7 pounds and total 7 bottles is 30 (including some tax) She kept saying that each bottle costs 30 pounds. FYI, a bottle of water costs 3 pounds in outside shops. I explained her that I will only pay what is mentioned on the bill. After some arguing, she agreed. 

2) She then claimed that 1 grill chicken costs 100 pounds and not 70 pounds though it was mentioned in the bill that it costs only 70. When I asked her to explain, she said that these are the new rates (the restaurant has a new menu rate coincidentally on the same day I am checking out..Surprise Surprise!) She claimed that my room had the old menu card with old rates. I asked her to show me the new menu card and she said that she doesn't have it. So, without a proper menu card, she was simply trying to scam me. I again told her that I will only pay 70 pounds (whatever is there on my bill) as per the menu card which was in my room. I told her that it was not my problem that the old menu card (at least accoridng to her) was kept in my room. She had to accept. 

3) She did the total after all the above drama and said that it is now 500 pounds. So, from the initial 1100 pounds, it is now 500 pounds LOL. 

However, our smart lady had computed each of my bills twice (original bill as well as the carbon copy bill) What a fraud!!!!! I pointed this out to her and she then faked innocence saying that she was confused. But, I had now had enough of her so-called innocence and I just wanted to throw the money on her face and get out of the hotel. 

Final computation, the bill was 280 pounds. Now, here is where the real joke is:-

She calculated 10% tax and 12% service tax as 280+10+12 = 302 pounds!!!!!

I wish they had taught her how to calculate tax with the total bill in school.

I paid 302 pounds and walked out of the hotel like a boss. This hotel is a strict NO for foreign tourists. They think that they can show some fake numbers and corner you and make you pay up at the last minute. Judging from my experience, it seems that this has been going on for quite a while. The Arab lady probably didn't know that I am from India and we Indians are shrewd enough to spot these sort of scams and call them out when we see it. 

IF YOU ARE A FOREIGNER, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

Nightmare while checking out!!!! Beware!!!!!

In short, receptionists are not professionals at all, I.e. must show reservation number and surname does not work, no good advice given, felt we were judged by our appearance.
Noisy and inoperative aircon combined with traffic noise piercing through the windows (single glazed). TV does not work, there is no tea/coffee in the room. Toilet bathroom is extremely bad as you cannot shower (too small pane). Room card/key needs activating every time you go out and at times, the receptionist did wrong activation so did not open the door.
Breakfast served in packed cases as there is no buffet system. All liquids (hot/cold) served in paper cups. There is no bar facilities & sauna only opens at 2pm.

Overall, this hotel does not deserve ratings of any stars. Based on the facilities and non- professional staff, I truly believe this hotel is merely 1*. I shall never ever return to this hotel and will not suggest anybody to use this hotel.

Only good points are, it’s very near from Pyramids and hot water works instantly.

Worst hotel experience so far

Great view and clean, that's about it.
I do not know how they rate hotels in Egypt but it would get one star in USA.
Every time I came back to the room the card key would not work and had to go to the reception to get it reset. I run out of water in the middle of a shower, after two requests and a 30 minute wait I finally got barely warm water.
The breakfast had poor selection and quality.
Would not recommend.


Better go somewhere else

We went with a big group and all of us had a bad experience with this hotel. The lobby was very nice but the rooms were disgusting!! Our hotel room was filled with dust. I put my shirt down on the table for a second and when I picked it up, it was all dusty and sandy. Their air conditioning wasn't working in almost all of the rooms and we had to fight with them to get our rooms changed or else we are leaving. Then our breakfast was literally bread and a couple of other thjngs. The staff was very uncooperative until our group leader said that they better fix our stay or we are leaving immediately. Even then, when we asked for a blanket, they said we have to find them and will give you one tomorrow. I mean how do you not know where your blankets are and we need to sleep right now, not in the morning. Even though it's cheap, it's still not worth a single penny to stay here. I wouldn't stay here again even if I could stay here for free. Save yourself and find another hotel. It might be a little more costly, but will save you from what we had to experience.
