We turned up in mid March 2017 to find the hotel had closed down 2 month previously. As we booked through Expedia we contacted them to find an alternative hotel which they did.  Disappointed to see bookings are still being taken.  Do not book this hotel!!  The Marina on the other hand is very nice.  Other good hotels are very close by so find an alternative.

I stayed here two nights between two dive cruises with Emperor Divers. The location is great: right at the marina with walking distance to the city center if you want to see something less artificial. I got upgraded to one of the penthouse suites (probably because I was the only one staying at the hotel). The room was dated and in dire need of a total overhaul and a proper cleaning (check the photo to see how the windows looked). The view towards the marina was absolutely stunning but the view towards the other side - well, check the photos.

The staff was super helpful and made it a good stay.

Great staff. So-so hotel

We stayed here twice using a day room both times. The hotel is simple, but clean and very convenient to the marina. A comfortable room with the added bonus of a roof terrace to sit in the sun.Good access to Papa's Beach Club at the other end of the marina, although we didn't make use of this this on this visit. What impressed us, in our short time here, was the helpfulness of the staff. My partner had injured his foot whilst diving and the staff here were so attentive - helping us get to our room, making sure that we had everything that we needed and arranging for us to have plenty of ice for his foot during the hours we were here. We would especially like to thank Salah and Ahmed for their help and concern.

Great staff

I had an awfully terrible experience staying in this hotel. I booked 4 nights and arrived late, the staff was friendly, but I cancelled after one night!!! 
The hotel furniture is very exhausted and it is not as equipped as you see on the marketing pictures! The sleep quality is very low too. 
The hotel is formed of two condo buildings inside the new marina, these buildings are rented by the current staff from the company which owns and operates the new marina. The two buildings are located on the far west of the marina and the beach is located on the far east!!! so you will need to walk one KM to reach the beach. The pool which is also located beside the beach, is very small with dirty water and no services. The security and management of the new marina are awfully rude!!! they refused to let me do some fishing far west from the marina and away of all boats!!! your movement will be very limited and you will not be allowed to walk here or there, and if you complain you will be faced by mentally sick, rude people!!! so save your valuable time and stay away of this location!!!

Terrible experience

We were unfortunate enough to stay here for a day at the end a dive safari with Emperor Divers. Despite booking 2 suites and a single room for the 7 adults in the party, the reception tried to put us in 1 room. When we were eventually given the 3 rooms booked, they were filthy, stains on the bedding and towels, dust & dirt everywhere, mould in the bathroom and the glass in the patio doors was cracked.
No bar, no shop, no facilities of any description.
Dreadful place.
