The location of the hotel is very good
The snorkeling site is very nice but they need to add golf cart on 1 km long bridge as it takes more than 15 minutes of walking from the beach to reach the swimming site 
The staff was a mix of friendly and a little bit hostile

Good stay

The hotel itself is very nice and the week we come has coincidentally been a heat wave 40/45 degree. Anyway hotel itself is very nice. The condo we stayed in the bathroom required work on a silicone/tiles etc could be updated. The food is very nice spoilt for choice. However there are certain restaurants within the complex only allow adults. Some of the bars are again adults only. The night time entertainment finishes around 10pm so not much to do unless you go soho or Naama bay. But would recommend destination and hotel. The STAFF are so kind polite and helpful and are an asset to the hotel. 5 stars for the staff

There maybe other hotels around on the destination so worth checking them out also

Hi just got back today and the beach hotel was impressed first evening we arrived we went to the bank machine to change money put in £100 and the machine decided it didn't want to change our money it was just keeping it so we went to reception and told the young  man cant remember his name he was tall and  it was somthing abd what had happened and he couldn't be any more helpful he phoned the out of hours bank number helped my husband explain what had happened and was just a lovely young man he is a credit to the hotel never got the money back as bank never contacted us as they said they would but never mind .On to the hotel our cleaning man can't remember his name but we were in room 2231 he was lovely every day we came into a different animal on our bed and he kept our room spotless on the last day he went above and beyond with his decoration he is definitely a credit to the hotel food in the resturant was good and we went to the Asian alacart which was nice in the main resturant our waiter was Hasan he was a very nice young man alway making sure we were OK and we had a drink and everything was as it should be he was another credit to the hotel all the staff were lovely but the ones I have mentioned go above and beyond there are 4 pools you can use and some slides there is a resturant at the top of the hotel between the park and Club used this a few times for lunch food good and staff realy good all together we had a nice stay

They take  the general atmosphere and lighting very  seriously  im glad i went with them we felt like kings and queens in there. Also shoutout to nabq tours office across the seabeach hotel they did a yacht snorkeling boat trip which was  very nice. Their office is like 2 mnts to left from hotel gate.  They made arrangements easy and well priced , as well as jaz mirabel being one of the best atmosphere hotels i went

To start I have to comment on the attention to Christmas in the area; let alone this hotel.  On arrival you couldn’t fail to miss the huge Christmas tree in reception and the lovely Christmas snow scenes behind white picket fences.

 

I think every member of staff we encountered wished us Merry Christmas or Happy New Year!  My wife & I have never been on holiday this time of year so "Merry Christmas" when we're sunbathing was a bit odd at first and took some getting used to.

 

Check in was very easy.  I am a coeliac as soon as I told reception, one of the managers went to get the Chef.  We were introduced to Chef Zaki who told me about the dining and that he would look after me and (as when we arrived the restaurant was still open - thankfully - more of that later...) We went to our room (2288 looked after by Ashraf - who (for those of you British guests of a certain age) was like the ubiquitous Mr Ben and popped up everywhere to ask if we were okay or if we needed anything).   We did panic as we couldn't see curtains - we went to reception and they said they would get it sorted when we went for our meal.  As promised Chef Zaki took me round the buffet and, as there wasn't that much available, he grilled me some prawns and chicken and I was able to get my sides from the buffet.  Once we got back to the room, the curtains were up and drawn.

 

Worth noting that I have an allergy card written in Arabic which makes expressing my exact needs really easy (they are available online for £2 in a variety of languages and my top tip for anyone with a dietary requirement travelling abroad - I have one in Spanish too).

 

I should possibly set the scene - this hotel is massive and has 2 other hotels attached which can use the facilities of the Beach Hotel - somewhat annoying when you have paid extra to have this setting.  Had we of realised, we would have gone for the cheaper options.

 

As we were here over new year, we were told to book for the Gala Dinner on New Years Eve, you could buy a special bottle of wine but we didn't and there was no pressure to do so. This is where my earlier comment about the hotels kicks in; no other restaurants were open so ALL dining was in the 2 buffet restaurants at the Beach Hotel.  The food was great but the actual dining event was too chaotic as there was only one sitting; it should have been staggered to ease the chaos. People were too busy filming the food and people pushed passed them to actual reach food, so plates were over -turned several times.  The hotel had arranged a variety of entertainment for the evening and I have to say that it very much impressed and I wasn't expecting it to, we had a great time.  As Egypt is 2 hours ahead, we celebrated again with some other British guests we met as 0200 came around.  The staff were working tirelessly to make sure we were well attended, I can't praise them all enough.

 

Now, back to my earlier comment about arriving when the restaurants were still open - they closed very early (2100) and a couple we met arrived after they had closed; they were told there was food for them in their room - it was a plate of fruit; which was in all of the rooms ready for arrival.  They had to go out to an Italian for a meal.  We have travelled to Egypt many times and this is the 1st time we have arrived before 1930 - all other occasions we have not arrived at the hotel until after 2230 - there has always been a restaurant kept open for late arrivals. I thinks this is something the hotel needs to consider; had it happened to us we would have been furious.

 

Basic points about the holiday - the pool(s) were so quiet.  No need to get up early to save a sunbed.  Lots of shade if you didn't want to sit in direct sun.  One of the pools was heated and you could tell which one by the amount of people in it.

 

Food was good and quite varied for an AI.  The drinks were good too; especially in the Oriental 24 hour bar.  Hussan is a star and works really hard (as do the others but we were mostly looked after by him).  Certainly no skimping on the alcohol.  There is an adult only bar where they had the football on etc but the drinks weren't as good in here - we weren't the only people to think so.

 

They had entertainment in the Oriental bar most evenings - I think it is usually outside (as it was on our 1st night) but the wind picked up so they moved everything inside.  I have to be honest, this wasn't ideal if (like us) you don’t usually bother with the entertainment but more importantly, it blocked the doorways & made moving about a bit difficult

 

It's certainly not as good as other 5* hotels we have been to in Egypt.  The "Pool Butler" service was really hit & miss.  My wife & I have no problems getting our own drinks but, it was the worst Egyptian Hotel we have visited for this service

 

Other hotels have offered sun glasses cleaning, cool face towels or sprays, bringing bottles of water before the pool bar opened etc - I appreciate that this possibly wasn't a necessary extra on this trip as the temperatures probably didn't exceed 26 deg C and the cool breeze would prevent overheating - maybe they offer some of this in warmer months.

 

The Towel system is very strange and a bit annoying really - You have a pool/beach towel in your room on arrival.  The following day, your House Keeper will knock to change the towel for you.  On 3 of the 7 occasions either my wife or I had to chuck some clothes on to answer the door as we were getting ready to go out.  This is no fault of the House Keeper, but I think the Hotel need to re-consider this.  It would be better to have towel bins and let guest collect fresh towels in their own time.

 

Another thing I have not encountered before - even though this is all inclusive, the minibar is chargeable!  It was $3.30 for a can of coke... $13.00 for a 187 ml bottle of wine - no idea why.  I've been to plenty of places that don't offer alcohol in the minibar but NEVER been to an AI that charges for soft drinks from them.  Water is provided in the room FOC and a kettle with coffee etc.

 

No fault of the hotel but the sea was red flagged for all but 2 of the days we were here.  There is a long jetty that takes you out to where you can get in the sea to swim/snorkel.  If snorkelling is your thing there are better locations - we did see quite a lot though.  

 

There were LOTS of badly bitten people, make sure you take plenty of insect repellent.  



New Year holidays

The food wasn't that great to be honest but I can't say I hadn't eat so maybe wasn't so tasty but definitely I found something to eat there. For everything else....excellent service from the moment we arrived there u tile we left the resort. I would definitely go back again just because of the resort how great is and nice and clean. Friendly staff and they really try to take care of you.  Not to mention the size of the resort. Huge. Best holiday ever.

Staff, and cleaners  are amazing , entertainment is good , reef beach bar is especially good specially Osam first class , hotel is dated which expect in Egypt , no bottles available at bars have to keep going to room to get some , I blame bad management gave feedback twice to guest relations lady and also manager when left,  very disinterested I don't expect to go to a hotel and not have bottled water available,  this is second time visited previous march 2023 much better experience ams bottled water readily available , this has ruined my view of hotel and will not return again

Nice rooms comfy Atmosphere we like the beach very much as well  , our holiday week in Egypt was super nice , also shoutout to nabq tours for arranging buggy desert safari and yacht boat trips for us , 2 minutes to the left from hotel gate in the center across seabeach gate  they took good care of sorting out trip
