The restaurant in the complex has a nice balcony with a sea front view. That is all their assets. Go there for a view and a photo. Food is bad, cleaning missing, service absent and waiting terrible. Go somewhere else to eat.

Set in the lovely Ohrid this hotel has lots of character of an old building but modern decor that is suited for the building. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but very small. Old Furniture in bedrooms needs to be overhauled. AC was not working properly. Breakfast is not bad. The area of St. Nahum is amazing with peacocks roaming free around the hotel. Recommended for short visits.

Lovely area to visit- hotel compliments the area

Kind of unique experience as you get to stay in a monastery. Very nice surroundings, nice views, all around, not just the monastery but, mini area around as well. Also within walking distance to Albania, which for me was great as I did not want to drive a car with Serbian number plates there. 
Room itself is what I guess you would expect in a place like this - 2 beds with limited comfort, simple shower and tv with 4 channels, wifi (worked well). For me it gave a slight odd feeling of older horror movies where something must happen at night in such place. As an add-on place has a nice terrace for breakfast with a great view to the lake and surrounding areas.

If you wish to stay in a monastery for a day

We stayed at this complex for 2 nights (we extended), simply because, after sundown, when the other tourists and locals have left, you have the entire place to yourself. And it is stunning. The views of the lake and the grounds are to die for. There is a military beach right inside no man's land with Albania where you can swim in the lovely warm waters of Lake Ohrid. The little monastery is gorgeous as are the many peacocks that roam the monastery grounds. The whole area is chockablock with photo opportunities. My only issue is with the quality of the restaurant. It is definitely better to eat at one of the very good complex restaurants than at the hotel proper. A pity as this is the only disappointing thing and could easily be resolved.

One of The Most Romantic Places you Would never Visit

Me and my friends had a TERRIBLE experience at the restaurant. The food was late serve, it seems that had been stay in the kitchen for decades, cold and we even found a spider in our salad! So disgusting. After complained to the waiters he  charged us 23 euro and never apologized for the food.  The only things that are Ok is the beer and the view.
