Satisfactory. Shower and bathroom very small. Room was large. Great access to the lake and 20 mins from the old town. The breakfast adequate. Coffee was dreadful. The staff friendly and helpful. Fridge was very noisy. Overall ok but not great.

We had a lovely stay at this small and friendly Villa.The owners are lovely people and very friendly.
Breakfast was good and constantly replenished.
Tip :  get a bigger fast boil kettle.
Our room was very clean.Thank you to our cleaner.
It took us about 5 minutes to walk to the Lake and 17 minute to the old Town.
The owner gave us a lovely send off,thank you.
Would we stay here again ... YES


Lovely small & friendly

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Veron, the family who own it are so very friendly and helpful. The hotel is small, which we like, the room is comfortable and has everything you need , the breakfast plentiful, the hot items changed every morning, everything was delicious. The walk to the old town, where we spent most of our time, was around 10 minutes. Restaurants and wine bars were great in the old town, can recommend, St Sofia restaurant, Dalga and Antika. Walks up to the amphitheatre, fortress and church of st Jovan  Kaneo are a must do. For relaxing days, we used Kanao beach. We did the trip to the monastery winery through Viator , amazing, and the st Naum monastery on the Armada boat, a fab day out. All in all a great week, we did a package with Tui .

Small and friendly

This is probably the best accomondation you can find for the required price. 
Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, owners are lovely people. You are 10min walk from Old town, 2 minutes from the lake and 10min from the nearest organised beach. 
We recommend this vila.

Great value for money

Booked this hotel due to raving reviews. Upon arrival I was disappointed with the small size of our room. The showerhead kept falling off , my husband fixed it up with a hairband, the fridge was so noisy it kept us awake at night, the plug sockets were very loose from the wall, so you could actually see it sparking if we used it. The hairdryer actually overheated on me one night and melted the end! The patio door hung off the top hinge and was dangerous. The balcony wasn’t a great view, just barely big enough for 2 chairs and could seriously do with a jet wash on the walls, so wasn’t very pleasant sitting out. Breakfast… the villa has only 7 tables for eating on. So breakfast was abit of a bum fight, we came down at various times to try & get a table, not something I want to be doing on my holiday. One occasion we sat for 15 minutes ate our breakfast with the previous occupants dirty plates on our table. My husband had to ask for them to be cleared. The food was good, not always replenished quickly enough, no exciting hot choices either, fried eggs or fried eggs for about 4 mornings of our week. Didn’t really have any interaction with the owners, pleasent enough. It’s definitely a 2 star hotel. No frills. Would I stay here again? No, for the price I paid , we can get very much more for our money, and a better standard of accommodation.

Disappointing

Do not go to this hotel if you are looking for 5 star luxury and pampering - it does not claim to offer that. I have rated it highly because it delivers exactly what we wanted. The room that we had at the back was quiet, clean and comfortable. The balcony was fine for sitting with a drink. The room was a bit on the small side but that was partly because the bed was very big. The air con was very effective - too effective sometimes lol. 
Breakfasts are a long way better than adequate. There were cereals, hard boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, tomatoes, cucumber and olives. In addition there was a warm option which changed almost daily. Items included fried eggs, omelettes, scrambled egg, french toast and sausages. These were not all available every day but were rotated. Add yoghurt, cereal bars, cakes and toast/bread along with a fresh fruit option and you will see that you would have to be a might fussy eater not to find enough to choose from to eat a hearty breakfast. 
The hotel is ideally located for the town and the lakeside.
The hotel owners are really nice people. Nothing is too much trouble for them - just ask. They will give sound advice regarding the best way to organise your visits/excursions and you will always be met with a cheery smile.
If I was returning to the area I would have no hesitation in staying at Villa Veron again and would look forward to my stay.


Does exactly what it says on the tin

I think this hotel gets great reviews because of the friendliness of the owners and the location. It’s just a couple of minutes from the lake and 10 minutes stroll from the town centre. Bus station is a few minutes by taxi, make sure you get the driver to switch the meter on otherwise they will charge you 2-300 dinars. 

The hotel was comfortable, is officially rated 4* but is 2*+. The bathroom tiles and sink were cracked and the room could have done with a deep clean. There was a hairdryer supplied but if it was on for more than 2 minutes it overheated and cut out. 

Also ask for towels to be changed if needed, the bathroom stayed warm so they couldn’t dry out properly. Air con was good and needed.

Breakfast was whole fresh fruit, choice of 2 cereals, breakfast bars, cold meats/cheese/salad/bread and usually eggs in some form. Simple but enough. 

If you want a comfortable, friendly base close to everything then this will be fine, just don’t go expecting it to be 4*. 

Great location 

We were so impressed by Villa Veron Hotel in beautiful Lake Ohrid. Great location, minutes away from the lake, restaurants, bank (handy to exchange money), supermarket and Old Town. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfy. Room included hairdryer, TV, sofa, aircon,huge shower, fridge and balcony. Very good continental buffet breakfast, we especially enjoyed the French toast and eggs. The best thing about this lovely hotel were the hosts. They were very welcoming, attentive, friendly and shared lots of excellent information about Lake Ohrid. Wonderful stay.

Fabulous Hotel.

The Villa Veron is an excellent small hotel handily located for the lakefront restaurants and bars and a pleasant ten minute walk to the main shops. The hosts are warm and welcoming, speak excellent English and are eager to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was a good size with a small but easily useable balcony and we were very comfortable. An excellent breakfast is served daily with varied hot and cold options. I had an injured leg during the time I stayed at the Hotel and I was helped with baggage etc and my wife was loaned a bike free of charge. A really excellent hotel and we hope to be back

Villa Veron is really excellent for a friendly welcome and relaxed holiday

We had a great week in Villa Veron. Great welcome on arrival room large, comfortable and very clean. Comfortable bed too. Always plenty of hot water. Balcony small but adequate. 
The selection for breakfast was vast. Cold meats cheese hard boiled eggs breads yogurts cereal cake biscuits. There was a hot couple of items daily too. Way more than expected. Terrace open til 8pm if you wanted to make tea or coffee. A husband and wife team who spoke excellent English. Would certainly recommend this establishment if you wanted excellent value for money. All in all an interesting holiday which we enjoyed very much.
