What a wonderful experience. The hotel was excellent, cosy and warm. The photos don’t do the rooms justice. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. 
I am gluten free and they catered for it very well. Food is a set meal every day and you get what you’re given. Picky eaters might struggle but the food was delicious, home cooked, fresh and lovely. 

Lots of equipment available to use whenever you wanted to. The excursions that were included in our package were good fun. Lots of thought had been put in to giving people a great experience. 

The aurora put a show on for us!

Homely, friendly and warm. 

We stayed at Hotel Korpikartano for a total of 4 nights, in the first week of January and I can say with certainty that it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had in my life. The hotel is located on the shores of an icy lake and the cold and snow make it even more magical. All the experiences are incredible, ice fishing on the icy lake with a scooter, night hunting at dawn with scorpions, Husky Safari, visiting the reindeer farm, all superlative. All the staff working at Hotel Korpikartano are very kind and available to clarify any doubts or curiosities.

An Unforgettable Experience

This was my first holiday in Finland and one of my finest holidays ever. The hotel is Scandinavian in style both on the outside and inside. On the rooms there was a small kitchen, refrigerator, microwave water boiler and 2 stoves. My own small bathroom with shower and toilet. We had booked various activities, Husky skiing, snowmobile skiing with ice cream and snowmobile skiing again under the polar lights, snowmobile hiking. The staff, the guide and the head of the house are all very nice and friendly. For the complete stay we got thermal gear from the hotel. Snowmobile and long-distance skiing you could use all the time. Every hour before the flight, I had to use the snowmobile to get to the hotel, and I also had to take a coffee and tea. I had to transfer to the hotel every single day.

Hotel Korpikartano worth a trip

We are already longing to leave this beautiful place. More than welcoming, caring, caring staff... that's exactly what we were looking for. We were bluffed by the beauty of this place, this calmness more than resting. Facing a huge, icy lake, the possibility of setting fire to a cottage to warm up in perfect autonomy, hiking trails were suggested where we could have the chance to see reindeer freely. The meals are well taken care of, very balanced and more than excellent. We had the chance to taste the l'élan, something we've never eaten before. To leave, we had to wait until very early in the morning for our breakfast, we had been prepared for a small day and we'd still have a great time with Julia & Gabriel.

A special experience

Had a wonderful four days here. Hikes in the forest, photography workshop, canoeing on the lake, meals round the fire in the Lappish hut (and in the lovely restaurant), great sauna, stunning views of the aurora over the hotel and out across the beautiful lake on two starlit nights. Lovely warm welcome, cosy rooms. Highly, highly recommend. Thanks so much for everything Marti, Mika and colleagues! 

Fantastic Lapland lakeshore hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and everything was impeccable. The room was clean and spacious. For those who want there is the possibility to kayak in the pond that is near the hotel or to rent bikes at no extra cost. The hotel is completely immersed in nature and there is the possibility to take walks. The staff were kind and available throughout the duration of the stay and on the last day we have to leave early they prepared a breakfast box the night before. I highly recommend it.

Group travel, everything well organized, great food, great coffee, great room, perfect location on an icy lake, friendly and efficient staff, technical materials available, the possibility of organizing individual activities.

Four sunrises in four nights

My partner and i would recommend hotel korpikartano 100 percent, the location is so peaceful, the staff are so helpful, the food is delicious and wholesome , the activities etc etc etc just a wonderful place ..and the northern lights omg.

Northern Lights at Menesjarvi

We had a wonderful winter experience week at the Hotel Korpikartano. The hotel is a former Sami school. The dining room is in the former gymnasium. The building and rooms are clean, simple but very comfortable and fit the Finnish flair. The staff is very friendly and fulfills all our wishes. The guides of the activities are very friendly and always professional. The Finnish cuisine has tasted good. We were very lucky and were able to admire the polar lights on the night sky several times. We had a wonderful week in northern Lapland. Thank you very much to the Korpikano team for the beautiful week.

Bright time off

As soon as we returned from a group trip with blueberry travel and we stayed in this lodge, we found ourselves very well, although it was very essential, we didn't miss anything. There were arctic suits available to do the various activities.
