Best place ever! We booked literally last minute! 

Price: Great value for money! Note: You can either bring your own bedsheets and towels or pay extra - at the time of our booking those were extra charges.

Accommodation: VERY CLEAN! :) We got a beautiful "apartment" in a house, it was very charming inside and out. Kitchen was fully equipped down to dishwashing liquid, coffee and sugar. All the dishes, cups and cutlery you would need - hotels only offer you a spoon and you should be grateful. Comfortable beds (4-bed - 2 up and 2 on the ground, which gives you even more privacy from your travel buddies), nice pillows, TV with YouTube and Netflix, free WIFI. It was warm inside, while it was -19C during some nights... we were not cold.

Staff: Very friendly and kind - they will do their best for their English speaking guests. We got to see the Northern Lights on our second night - the hosts turned off the lights at the holiday village and took some incredible pictures for us. Thank you! :)  Most incredible experience ever!

Location: Tranquil. It is far from busy places like Rovaniemi, but you're still a 20-min drive from K-market, pharmacy and fuel station. You are practically in the middle of nowhere. Yes, you should rent a car when you book here. You are also close to Luosto/Pyha - which has: both husky and reindeer parks, skiing opportunities and a chance to visit the amethyst mine

Activities at the village: Since we went in March, snow was EVERYWHERE - so beautiful... we tried snowmobiling. 90 eur for 1 hr = 100% worth it! It was enough for an unforgettable experience. I wish we did snowshoes and sauna... next time! :D

Overall: This place is a winner! :) I would go back in a heartbeat

Best place ever!

I spent 2 nights in Vuostimo on my way North in early August. The room in a separate building was nice and comfortable (enough space, own bathroom)  I got an extra wifi router (I had to do some remote work on that journey) and the view from the window was beautiful. There is no grocery store whatsoever in Vuostimo, so if you don't have your own car, you should make sure to take along everything you need (next supermarket is in Pelkosenniemi which can be reached by bus, but not very often). The area is calm, in wonderful landscape.

Nice accommodation between Kemijärvi and Pyhätunturi

The cottage was ok. A small kitchen where breakfast can be made. Good price/quality. We didnt eat at the "restaurant" but I wouldn't count on that.
The location is good for those who traveling by car. "Short" distance to everywhere here.
Morning and evening scenery is beautiful. 


Autumn fishing

The best out of any of my choices for around the world for a relaxing weekend. This little holiday Cottages village surrounded by a divine Forest by a quiet river bank. It is located by the road so easy to find but at the same time it is very quiet and peaceful. My house has everything I need to stay and enjoy my weekend. The house is wooden but very modern and warm at the same time. They have a great heating system so you can adjust the temperature to make it as convenient as you wish.  Nice kitchen with everything you need to cook your own meal if you wish so. They even have an iron rack installed at the fireplace so I fried a prefect steak there. You can do sausages or marshmallow, or vegetables. They have a decent size fridge and friezes, all kitchen pans and even a dishwasher. And the very important - your own very specious sauna!! Absolutely great! I made most of it! 
I have not heard any of my neighbours so sound isolation is pretty good. As I visited during the snowy time I was able to order a snowmobiled bike at the very attractive price. In the morning I’ve seen a reindeer passing by. 
The very famous ski resort is just 15 km  from the place so it is definitely very convenient to stay here at the high winter season. 
After staying a weekend in the end of October 2029, I have already booked my BA flight tickets and a stay for a week in the end of August and considering if  I could come even earlier to try fishing! 
Would recommend this place for all my friends.

One of the best of my relaxing weekends

We arrived at midnight to stay one night and had to pay 10€ extra for the late check in. When going to bed we figured it was really cold in the room and found out the radiator was off. Didn't find where to put it on and we choose to try to warm up in our sleeping bags and under blankets to get some sleep after 8 hours driving (it was around 1 a.m.). 

You really don't expect that you have to put the heating on yourself in March in Lapland, especially when you are not told to do so when you arrive - in the midnight. In the morning we did find the thermostats just to be sure that they were really off.
No apologies because "you should have put the radiator on". Thanks! It really would have helped at 1 a.m.

Freezing room and poor service

We had a room for two nights at the holiday village. Very nice and clean and a beautiful view from the room. Great place to stay and vsisit the nearby National Park. Very nice hosts who will make you feel welcome.

Owners don't speak English but are very friendly. The price is cheap but you have to hire bedding, if you don't have your own, at 6 Euros per person. You can also use a kitchen for 10 Euros. This is not luxury but very is very clean and warm. It is also very rural; there is nothing else anywhere near. The apartment overlooks a lake, no surprise in Finland.
I would have no hesitation returning.
