This B & B is on an island in an archipeligo and must be one of the most peaceful places on earth.  We had a large comfortable room of simple style with a couch, coffee table, desk and chair and the use of the kitchen.  The hosts prepared a very good breakfast. They provided very useful guidance and information during our leisurely breakfast.  They spoke excellent English, which was a blessing for us, as we do not speak Finnish.  There were a variety of bicycles that one could hire to ride around the beautiful islands.

We stayed here because this was the only place that had available rooms. But how lucky were we! 
The place is lovely! The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. 
A great B&B to stay, would stay here again for sure!

Lovely place, would stay again

We rented four bicycles for our 4 days trip around the Turku archipelago. We were told in advance that the bicycles were in good condition and recently serviced. Unfortunately they were the opposite. Gears didn't work at all and the chains fell off constantly. On some of the bikes, the brakes didn't work properly either. Maybe you can cycle small distances or day trips with these bikes but they are not fit for a 200 km ride! Afterwards we tried to ask for refund, but the owner refused to do that. His opinion was that all our problems were just features of the bikes. All the four of us have experience of cycling so that cannot be the problem. 

Cannot recommend bike rent! NB we didn't stay in this bed & breakfast, so no opinion on that or the other services than the bike rent.

The Finnish Archipelago is quite lovely and a nice place to relax.  If you go, stay at Vastergard.  John is a perfect host and Erna is a lovely extra when she is present.  The area is beautiful.  You will spend time driving or biking on many ferries--they run often and are free.  Ask John to make dinner for you.  We all really enjoyed the food, the house, and the entire experience.

Nice escape

We had read glowing reviews of this property and our experience here exceeded our 
expectations.  The B&B is beautiful.  It is a renovated old barn (the rooms named for some of the cows that lived there) with a central common room and kitchen and four
rooms coming off it.  The countryside is lovely and the B&B is a short walk to the sea.
Tom and Erna were great hosts.  The breakfast is amazing and the dinner we had
there one night was one of the best we had in Finland.  We rented bikes and
cycled for four days on a route Tom planned for us.  We had never done a self guided
self supported  (carried all our things in panniers Tom provided) cycle trip before but
everything worked.  This is a spectacular part of the country and we enjoyed very much seeing it on a bicycle.  We spent three nights at Vastergard B&B and were
very sad to leave.

Wonderful place to stay whilst cycling in the Archipelago

Nice host and a super delicious breakfast. Very nice room and quiet environment. We stayed here for two nights in June 2015. I remember it so well that after more than half a year, I still think about writing a review.

Very nice stay.

We visited this beautiful little house and were thrilled. Very nice, well maintained property, beautiful rooms with large communal area. The B&B is also equipped with sauna and jacuzzi and is very quiet. You can cycle, walk, canoe and much more. You can also take a boat tour with the owner of the B&B, through the wonderful world of sculpture. The owner himself makes the stay a beautiful experience. He is the good soul and makes almost anything possible for his guests. One of the nicest people I have ever met.

Very nice and quiet

This is a small family-run hotel just outside the centre of Nagu. However, the name Bed & Breakfast should definitely not be a deterrent. We were very positively surprised. There is a separate guesthouse with predominantly double rooms. There is a kitchen that is available to all guests, a large dining room, a TV room in the gallery and a winter garden. Our room was of a pleasant size with its own bathroom and shower and a small outdoor terrace. On the premises you can book a dinner that the host Tom makes very fresh. The food was very tasty and varied. Before there was a main soup, a light breakfast and a vegetarian snack. There was also a great opportunity for breakfast and breakfast in the hotel, but the restaurant itself was very well prepared. This is a great place to eat in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Has a lot more to offer than just a bed and breakfast

This is a wonderful place in a rural idyll, both for a stay with friends, as a couple and alone. Since I took a little bike tour and slept here both at the beginning and at the end, I lived in two different rooms: first in a huge apartment that was originally intended for families, then on the return in a small normal room. Both were beautifully furnished, with new, matched furniture, bright wood, and stylish details like the Marimekko hand. The breakfast is very good, owner Tom Cookes on pre-order a dinner (about 30 euros), which is served with other guests at a dining table.

A former cowshed that has been converted into a very beautiful bed and breakfast in the midst of wonderful nature. The friendly hosts take good care of their guests. With a little luck, you can even watch them through field stakes.
