We shall definitely return here to this hotel and area! We stayed in a new conversion so everything was pristine. The bed was super comfy and it had a good spacious shower. The pool area was very modern and the terrace was a lovely spot for dinner. They had a garage to store our bikes and the parking was gated and private. The dinner served was top quality and excellent value for money as was the breakfast. The wine was a bit pricey but good quality. The architecture and countryside around was superb. We had an excellent mountain bike ride! Would highly recommend!

Great hotel and area!

We have stayed here many times and the rooms and meals are excellent.
However there were a few small niggles this time which was disappointing.
It was exceptionally cold weather when we stayed and unfortunately only one radiator was working in our room. There was reversible clim as well but it’s a little noisy and we prefer not to have blown air. There were no blankets or throws to add to the duvet to increase warmth.
The restaurant only has an à la carte menu at weekends which was very expensive. It was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every mouthful but….at a cost which we felt a little uncomfortable with. A 10cl glass of wine was 10€ which we also thought was overpriced. I accept we should have checked but we’ve been so often, we had got blasé. We had to ask for bread. 
My husband wanted breakfast at 7.45 am but the earliest we could have was 8.30 am. In fact, the lovely lady who provided breakfast was there at 8.10 and we enjoyed it !
The night’s  B and B plus 2 course evening meal with glass of wine each, cost 270€. Which, while extremely pleasant, makes a very expensive overnight stop !
We wish Fanny well but may make other arrangements next year, very very sadly.

Wonderful place

We had the most amazing time . Very peaceful . 
The Apartment was immaculate & modern . Totally outstanding . 
We ordered breakfast to our room which came in a cute wicker basket . 
Swimming pool is beautiful & clean .

Very different from a normal hotel. Very stylish, but totally functional rooms that looked and felt fresh, and spotlessly clean. The host, Fanny, was extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel most welcome. Excellent restaurant (review posted in restaurants) and lovely breakfast taken on the terrace. Quite an oasis. Although located off a main road, the (air conditioned) room was fitted with (what looked like new) extremely effective double glazing and electric shutters, so absolutely no noise to disturb sleep. This was a chance discovery, slightly off our route, but turned out to be a most brilliant start to our holiday.

An excellent find

This hotel/restaurant is in a place we had never heard but what a find. The room was large & had everything you could want; perfect. The bathroom too was perfect with a wonderful walk in shower. The owners are lovely. More about the restaurant in separate review.

WOW! What a find!

We stayed in rooms at this restaurant on our way to the Dordogne last month. Very sadly, Eurotunnel delays of more than 5 hours meant that we didn’t manage a meal as planned but we were delighted to be brought a fabulous plate of cheese & a chocolate dessert along with a superb glass of wine each before retiring to bed.  The rooms were absolutely beautiful. Every single detail had been thought through and we had a very good night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was taken in the same little courtyard as dinner would have been enjoyed the night before and was absolutely delicious. The friendliness of the owner & other staff we encountered was very welcome and we look forward to staying at L’Hostellerie d’Acquigny and enjoying an evening meal there in the future.

Amazing little gem

Superb stay.    Very easy to find from the autoroute.   We had a nice room a with a very comfortable bed room and parking was on site.   We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was superb.   The owners were charming.   Definitely on our visit again list.

Overnight stay

This is really a restaurant with rooms, but the rooms are of a very high quality.  They are spacious, clean, well appointed (including tea making facilities) and modern.  The main road is next to the hotel, but the windows and shutters keep the noise to a minimum.  There is a ground floor room which is wheelchair friendly in every respect.

The restaurant is superb.  I am suspicious of tasting menus - some offer a seemingly endless stream of small and overly creative taster plates, others build up to supposedly show stopping main courses which are wasted on those who have eaten there way through so much already.  This 6 course menu suffered from no such faults.  It offered a series of quite technically challenging dishes, designed to be eaten in sequence, all of which were well executed and well presented.  The flavour combinations were outstanding, especially with the scallop and fish dishes.  For me the veal was a little over-cooked, but everything else was so good I can forgive that.  The cheese trolley, as one would hope for in Normandy, contained a series of local cheeses in perfect condition.

Service was well paced, friendly, but correct.  The room is well laid out, with plenty of space and good lighting.  The wine pairings for the meal were appropriate - such food demanded simple, but well made, wines and these we got.

Outstanding Hotel & Restaurant

Found this hotel/ restaurant on a trip down to Toulouse with a colleague 2 years ago and it was so good took my wife there on the way back from the south of France this year. It's great, room modern, clean, food outstanding, service even better.
Love it. This is one of those challenges that life present you with, one does not want to publicise a great location for it to get popular v you want them to be successful. Locals have already found this so you who read TripAdvisor reviews will not be the only ones to know.......................
