We've been for a week at the end of February and in my opinion was excellent! The apartment was clean and warm, just enough for a family of three!( we've been staying in Diamond building)! Slope wise was fantastic! Miles of slopes for any skier just at the door step! Basically its perfect for someone who want to ski not to stay in the apartment all day or shopping! Yes, its 100% recommandable!
 

Very good for the price we've paid

Do your homework and make sure you know where you are booking. This is a great, family friendly place. We were the first week of Easter, all learning to ski with ESF (who are amazing!). 

The low point of the trip was check in. We'd emailed and called to make sure we could check in early. No promise, but it wasn't busy the week before we arrived, so it looked good. 

When we got in, the staff at Sun et Soleil could not have been more rude and unhelpful. We finally slept in the corridor for an hour and we're able to check in at 3.30. But the room had dishes we had to rewash and old soda bottles down the back of the sofa.

Also, the flat had no toilet paper, no coffee filters, no sponges, no dishcloth. 

So great place to learn to ski. But I'd book through AirBandb next time, or an owner direct. The residence booking system was the low point of our trip. 

Great first ski marred by horrible check-in

Have stayed here for years and just love it.  some say the building is ugly but it is of an age where architects were trying designs out.  This is a brilliantly functional building with a Galeria which provides restaurants, cafes, hairdressers, an osteopath, delicatessen and fabulous bakery in addition to the ski shops.  It has the absolute best disabled access and fantastic disabled ski facilities.  There are lots of smarter places but I challenge anyone to find a more functional one.  The skiing here is also fantastic with not only the La Plagne area (which is huge) but also Chambery and over to les arcs on the biggest cable car in the world.  I regard this place as home from home.

A heritage building

I don't have a lot of experience in Ski resorts, but I experience La Plagne and some friends confirmed next conclusions: Aime 2000 apartments are not so good... they are small but if you accept that and that is why they are cheapest than is good!!! What I don't understain the working time in France!!! From 8:00 or 9:00 till 12:00, and than from 16:00 or 17:00 till 20:00!!! After that you are teoreticly impossible to take the keys of your apartment from recepcion cause there is none who works after 19 or 20 h!!! Second thing that I don't understain is WiFi you have to pay 20 € per week in residence that you are staying for one week??? They even don't provide from recepcion WiFi??? What is wrong with you??? Internet is in Albania, Bosnia, Serbia & Croatia is for free!!! I know you can go in bar and have a coffee for 3,2 € or beer for minimum 6 € and than ask waiter for password but next time when you visit Croatia Adriatic don't be surprised for some expensive prices!!! Dubrovnik is most expensive city and there is beer form 4 €!!! Because you have beautifull mountains for skiing doesn't mean you have to charge WiFi??? OK for beer... I'm gonna drink from shop!!! By your example Croatians should put prices to sky cause Adriatic Sea including islands are probably most beautifull Sea in Europe!!! For check out you have to clean all apartment, if you don't they charge you 55 € for cleaning lady!!!
P.S. I will come back to La Plagne cause it is amazing ski resort (slopes). I is really great but I was expecting much more kindness!!!

Not so good as ski slopes are!

My family of six stayed in an apartment for 7 people in Residence Aime 2000 for a week this Easter.  The apartment was spacious and not expensive at 690 euros.  We had everything we needed. There was a large balcony with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc.  We could get everything we needed from the ground floor of the residence - ski and boot hire, lift passes, takeaway pizzas, Spar supermarket. I didn't think the prices in the Spar were that much higher than usual. We did a big shop in a supermarket in Aime on our drive up to the resort, so only had to top up in the Spar, but bread, milk, vegetables, wine were all reasonably priced for a ski resort. 
The skiing was fantastic.  Extremely convenient, starting just ouside the door.  And a great variety of good runs.  No lift queues to speak of, even on Good Friday.
