I don't want to be unkind about this hotel because the location is absolutely stunning , good wifi and free parking and the staff were so lovely and helpful, but sadly it does have a lot of negatives. First impressions  of reception are dark and scruffy ,cluttered with hanging plants, personal staff items and a large paddle board, which is apparently for rent but it doesnt say so, it just looks dumped. Big drawback NO LIFT! Corridors are dingy and tired and the ornate staircase needs a good scrub. We were only staying one night but we opted for a lakeview room which was tiny with a 4'6" bed. Sheets were clean and we had a small balcony overlooking the lake which was a real plus but the balcony itself was desperate for a repaint and refurb. Everything  in the room felt cheap and chair cover was stained. The bathroom had been sort of half renovated leaving an awkward space with no door, white towels were new,  thick, clean and fluffy. The toilet was separate but if you sat down before shutting the door you would bang your head it was so small. 
Adjoining restaurant for dinner was great for meat eaters,  nice cold  buffet for starters but the not so warm buffet was a little less appealing . The staff were lovely though and anxious to please and helped me out with some difficult medical dietary requirements which was very kind and helpful.. Breakfast  the following morning was very  nice indeed if somewhat lacking in hot choices . This hotel has massive potential but needs bags of money and an interior designer thrown ar it.  Would I stay again, sadly not.

Beautiful location, not so beautiful  hotel

Extremely hot in the rooms, no airco, chairs and bed are broken , no door in the shower, lots of noise from the street, dirty towels from precious visitors still in the room, ants in the bed, 0,2 cm dust under my bed. Payed for 2 lakeview rooms, 2 nights , after 1 horrible night of 40 degrees celsius in the room, we were not able to sleep , because of this heat .we decided to leave, reception was not able to speak English , and didnt want to give part of the money back, altough we made our complains right after we saw our room, and again the next morning  .the lake is very beautyfull , but do not go to this hotel.

Awful hotel

Arriving at 14:00 just to find the hotel closed with a message that it would re-open at 16:00. 

The room was clean but rather small for 3 persons and the balcony only had 2 chairs. 
Breakfast was definitely not something I in the future Will take in this hotel. The hotel really need a make over and to be cleaned outside. Don’t Think I Will come back even though the Best thing was the view from the balcony. 


Very tired hotel

This visit was seriously affected by very hot weather and as the hotel had no air conditioning, the stay was very uncomfortable. The room was basic although the balcony did provide nice views of Bourget lake.

You need to book breakfast on arrival as the reception desk closes early and if you have not ordered then no breakfast. 

The hotel was noisy with the road very close and the hot weather prevented closing the windows.

Nice walks by the lake and some good restaurants nearby

Poor hotel in lovely location 

My stay here was for 3 nights. After a long trip, connecting flight, delayed luggage etc, all I wanted to do was check in, get a shower and have some rest for a bit before meeting colleagues later in the evening. 

Got to this hotel around 14:00. Was very disappointed to see that there was a sign on the front door which read in French 're-opening 16:00'. To my dismay and disappointment, I felt a bit stranded having no luggage and pretty much fed up with 2 hours to try and kill before I could even get into this hotel. I did spot the owner at 15:00 but he didn't open for me. He didn't come back til around 16:45!!! 45 minutes late and by this point, seemed to be lining up for a not so good trip away. 

Check in: Receptionist does not speak English, even using Google translate didn't seem too bothered when I tried to explain my luggage is late and will be getting delivered to hotel the following day. I wanted to make sure he would be around for it! 

Rooms: Basic but at least the showers are hot. Bed was ok for me. I can sleep anywhere but if people like their comfort they may struggle. 

Breakfast: I am guessing there were only three guests when I was staying. What was there (not much) was all counted in threes. Three slices of cheese, three slices of ham, three pieces of bread, you get the picture. Orange juice machine didn't even work and coffee was ok at best. I only had breakfast once here. The other two mornings I went to another location to get something a bit more substantial and value for money. 

Delayed luggage: The airport tried calling the hotel several times and as no answer, I had to go all the way back to the airport myself to collect it. Not good!

Check out: Safe to say, was glad to check out. I didnt bother trying to change my hotel during my visit to Aix-Les-Bains as I thought it would just be too much hassle. As this was a business trip, everything is paid for by my employer. But here, I had to pay!! Even though I had my booking references etc. Not very helpful at all and had to fork out over 250 Euros! 

I think this place is ideal for a one night stop off on a long journey. Just a bed for the night and a hot shower. Nothing else. I've stayed in better hostels over the years.

Hotel Du Posted Missing

The receptionist was very abrupt and rude. Not interested in making us feel welcome at all, Where is the pool?....I'm still wondering.....It would appear there is no pool! Frustrating.
It was my fault that we booked a room facing the mountain side as opposed to the glorious lake but we are suspicious that we could have been accommodated with a switch from back to front-when making the request. The reception guy was NOT interested in that discussion. The room was uncomfortable and I am not the type of person that would usually say that. If you stay here bring your own pillow.

Disappointing

The position of this hotel is promising when viewed on Google maps/streetview because it is right on the lake frontage, with excellent views across the water.  But that is pretty much it.  Everything about this hotel is basic.  The rooms are tired, the bed was uncomfortable and the establishment lacks any facilities except a very basic breakfast room.  The level of service is practically non existent; no personnel present after 7pm and access via a coded night door.  
Furthermore its position, apart from its lakeside view, is uninspiring being adjacent to a very busy and noisy road and also a long way out of the town centre.

OK for a quick stopover but nothing more

The pictures on booking.com did not fairly represent the hotel - which although really on the edge of the lake is also on a very busy main road. The staff were not especially welcoming although they did finally move us from the front lake view room to a back (no view) room which was quieter. But the rooms are drab and now welcoming.
