Fantastic stay at this hotel for the price.  I was looking for a clean not too expensive place to stay for one night before leaving on a backpacking trip. This hotel was perfect for that purpose and well located next to the train station. The sheets were crisp and clean and the bathroom as well.  The room was tiny (I had asked for a single) but it did have a small desk and I loved the balcony.   Thanks for a great stay! I would definitely stay there again if I went back to Aix-les-Bains.

Hospitality!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in December and were very satisfied. Great location within a few blocks of the shops and excellent restaurants, and a short 15 minute walk to the rowing centre, public pool and lakeshore walkway.  Frédéric is a great 'ambassador' for the area, and was very courteous and extremely helpful with suggestions on places to visit. He also set us up with a couple of bikes which were a great way to do some local exploring. It is not a modern hotel but was clean and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient and friendly

The location is perfect: close to the city center and 30 minutes walk from the lake. There is parking at the hotel which was really helpful as the public parking was full by the time I arrived (just after 8pm).
The owners are just great. They helped me to cancel another reservation and offered a bike for free to go an explore the lake.
Breakfast is as it should be: fresh, crispy French bread, yogurt and fruits with a good coffee and orange juice.

I will certainly stay at this hotel again when am in the neighborhood.

Great value for money

Our first time in this wonderful part of France so we carefully read through many TripAdvisor Hotel reports and plumped for the Annapolis in Aix Les Bains. We wanted a ‘real’ French old style Hotel, so opted for the 2 Star ones as most likely to be family run rather than a commercial chain. Happily, the Annapolis fully matched the reviews, it is spotlessly clean and exactly as described under the management of a wonderful young family ... and French Bulldog Harley. The bed was large and the mattress firm which suits us well. Our host Frederick offered us free bikes and bus passes and was most courteous without being smarmy. 

The Hotel has 6 parking places but if full there are many on-street spaces - free Saturday afternoons, all Sunday and feast days, charges for 09.00 to 12.00 and 14.00 to 19.00 (see photo).

If you do go here are a couple of hints.

If taking Eurostar and crossing Paris to swap to a TGV purchase Metro tickets from the bar on the Eurostar ~ 1E70 each (many thanks to ‘the man in seat sixty-one’ for that tip).

Bring a corkscrew! France rigidly sticks to corked bottles.

Pedestrian crossings work. Previous experience was that only British tourists stopped at crossing, here, if you merely look like you might be heading for one of the many crossing all traffic stops.

Beware, most shops etc are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Not just a Winter resort

Yes this was a convenient Hotel for the railway station and yes the owner was
nice as was the breakfast room but the renovations hadn't reached my room
(the one with the red cover) and oh it was so depressing. The walls were a 
nicotine colour , tired and chipped paint and a greyish net curtain, the bathroom
was green and flowered , 1970/l980 era with the smell of that period to go with it
however it and the room were very clean

Wish my room had been better

Really friendly welcome to the hotel and our hosts went out of their way with free bikes, quickly arranged, to help our explorations. Rooms need updating but that seems to be the project and all was clean if a little shabby.
