Medieval town on the banks of the river, lots of quirky cottages, a chateau and historic centre..perfect for a wander round, even in Winter! Beautiful suspension bridge and lots of walks around this area.

Beautiful visit, right on the river

Great location, wonderful hosts, eco-friendly, wines from the adjacent acres, lots of privacy, in the middle of nature but also with great fiber internet connectivity. Amazing place. All of this a few 10s of kilometers from the city of Cahors.

Extraordinary!!!

But unfortunately that is all there is.
The Yurts are made from PVC but have nothing to do with the typical  Nomadic tents originating from Mongolia. These are just self catering 'plastic' Tents. The interior is very basic. Putting a dishwasher in Tent can be a very convenient feature, but in this case I  would recommend  to invest in a decent interior first, like pair of comfortable chairs to sit in and decent size dinner table.
The Yurt's interior has no cosy or comfortable atmosphere from itself.
The terrace is nice and spacious on the other hand,  but has only one sunbed, ( for 4 people) and there is one other ' folding type of camping chair' to sit on, which gives a little more comfort. The furniture outside on the terrace is very minimal too.
The spacious  terrace and the view is the best feature of the Yurt. I would invest more in the exterior furniture to make this work, as it is a beautiful spot to read and enjoy nature at its best. 
The bed inside ( 1.60 -2.00 ) is a good size, but the matrasses are very  uncomfortable. They are hard and not a pleasure to sleep on, at all.
There is no natural airflow in the Yurt. Unless you want use the air-conditioning all day long. ( noise all the time ) This circular Tent has a few doors which you can leave open during the night/day, if you are not happy using air-conditioning all the time. The question is if you want to do this in the middle of nature ? We did not. To create natural  air flow you can leave all doors open.
 But that was not an option for us.
We asked the owner for advice  and he told us we could open the rooftop, " to create natural air flow  ".  The master bedroom, however has a very low built - in  wooden cealing and doesn't benefit at all from this  air- flow- roof- option.
 The general  descriptions on the website of this property about the interior and atmosphere of the Yurt are not balanced with reality, to my opinion. 
It is self catering  with a very minimal level.
We booked for 6 nights and left after the first night.
 Reasons were the very uncomfortable bed, lack of airflow in the Yurt in general together with the strange " plastic smell "  inside the Yurt.

They change the towels only once a week ( 3 towels ). The owner  is very precise about the hygiene and the hygiene  of his pool(s).  But I  don't need a list of recommendations  how to use the pool- area.
As I am very precise on hygiene too. I would consider to change the towels more often or provide more towels the first time at arrival, and be more accommodating on this part.

We decided to leave after one night.
The owner's reaction was immediately defensive and he was  very annoyed. He was not in default he said. That is correct. It was our personal  choice to book this place and stay for a week. 
We found out very quickly that there was no room for our comments, and we decided to leave as quickly as possible  to get it all over with.
We were obviously the first customers in 3 years, since they are running this place, who left unhappy.

This was not the first self catering place we have rented in our lives, I have to say.
And I never met a proprietor with unprofessional behavior of this kind ever before.
He charged our credit card for the 6 nights on the day of our departure.
All the Yurts were empty ( except one) on our date of departure and the rest of the week to come.
I am not recommending this place to anyone.

Beautiful Location but,...

Very friendly and committed hosts (Nadine & Bernard) that are always willing to give advise on the things to see in the area. 
Very modern and well equipped yourtes
Extremely clean swimming pool and yourtes
Wonderful scenery
Very interesting starting point to visit the area
Interesting for jogging and biking
Wifi working properly (not always the case elsewhere)
