The place is lovely. However the lady in charge called the police on my wife and I and refused to let us leave until they arrived. She doesnt take card payment and would not let us go and get cash out. Craziness.

We got a cozy nicely renovated room. Very comfortable and clean. We were at the attic with a separated entrance from the outside. To get to the room, have to go up one exterior story straight stair. There are two rooms in that floor and a kitchenette. Each room have their separate bathroom and shower. It's about 5-10 minutes drive to the centre of Amboise. The hostess was very friendly and nice, but she only speaks French. The breakfast was very generous from cereal, juice, homemade jam, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, milk, and tea; considering the price we paid for the room.
It seems that this B&B only takes cash, not credit card. Make sure that you carry cash for payment.

Good value and quiet

Booked this place on spec.....Amboise had few vacancies and was expensive. Tariff here included breakfast plus there was a little share kitchenette that allowed for self catering and to make the inevitable cup of tea or coffee. It is necessary to take a vehicle into the town for those unfit people, but a small price to pay for such good accommodation. Well done!
