We like this restaurant as it is so close to our home. 
Great service and good food. Al Fresco or inside dining, whichever you prefer, in nice weather of course.
Very friendly staff. Easy for car parking too.

Enjoyable.

My partner and I booked to stay in this hotel for two nights last weekend. 
Check in on our BOOKING CONFiRMATION was given as between 18.00 to 22.00.
We arrived at 18.45. The hotel was completely shut! After waiting for 20 or so minutes to see if anyone would arrive we noticed two phone numbers on the door to call. My partner and I called both numbers twice. Each time the calls went to an answerphone on which no message could be left.
After waiting for another half an hour we decided we had no option but to find alternative accommodation as it was now getting on for 8pm.
We left a copy of our booking conformation in the letterbox with a note asking them to phone us asap. We were not contacted during the evening or during the following morning.
After staying in Mayenne we returned to this hotel the following late morning. Our booking confirmation and note had not been read and could clearly be seen sticking out of the letterbox. A lady answered the door and we tried to explain what had happened, she pointed to the sign and said we should have called as she would have sent someone to the hotel to greet us. She also said she had sent us an email regarding this. NO email was received. I showed her the call log on my phone at this point to prove we had tried. She asked me to call the number again in front of her which I did. Again the call went to answerphone, but no message could be left.
At this point she became fairly dismissive, we advised her that we would not be staying the second night as we now had alternative accommodation. She said she understood this, offered no apology and we left.
Upon our arrival back in the UK I was shocked to find that this hotel has charged me for the two night stay which they have taken off of my card. Not only a totally unprofessional service, but then charged for a stay I didn't have with much stress and inconvienience added!
As you would expect I have emailed the hotel both in English and French (vis google translate) to express my concern and ask for the money to be paid back into my account. To date both emails have been ignored. I have now contacted Booking.com who are looking into the matter and will hopefully get my money refunded.
Daylight robbery!!!
I would love to offer a better review of the hotel which may be very nice but as it was shut during the set check in time I am unable to do so!

BE WARNED!

Very poor menu choice , so chose entrecotesteak and frites. They knew we were english, when meals arrived , steaks hidden under a sauce, sauce not chosen , and beneath was a cheaper cut of meat, bavette, we had been clear ,entrecote. 
Every part of meal dissapointing. 
We ate here , but our stay was an earlier year.

Dissapointing lunch

This hotel is conveniently located right on the cycling route that runs south from Caen. I had a pleasant enough one-night stay here. My room was clean, bright and reasonably spacious, with good WiFi. Staff were helpful and I was able to store my bike overnight in their garage at the back. Had the evening meal and breakfast here and both were pretty good. It's a short walk down to the lovely village where the bridge crosses the river. All-in-all a good stay.

Great for a cycling overnighter

Stayed here as the school holiday centre my passengers were staying is was full to bursting.

The staff i encountered were very friendly and keen to speak english.

The room I stayed in had a double and single bed which made it quite spacious, it was clean well appointed with plenty of power point and very comfortable. Excellent free wifi made it more comfortable.

The walls are like most french hotels quite thin, on my 2nd night I had to wake the french gentleman next door up as he had fell asleep with his telly on quite loud.

The bathroom whilst clean is a little tired and the shower is a touch on the small side, but curtain half closed a towel and bath mat a good scrub occurred, not entirely sure the shower curtain used was a good choice but hey ho.

The restaurant menu looked to be good value, however I cannot vouch for the food as I ate the school holiday centre, but it's France nowhere does a bad meal.

The hotel sits on a hill of reasonable inclination on your way into or out of town. Its about a 15 min walk to the town itself, a fierce hill awaits should you decide to do it. But there is a lovely river bridge to sit and watch the world go by at the bottom.

Clean friendly recently refurbished hotel

We booked two rooms here for one night whilst on business. We arrived, went to the rooms, which were clean but basic. Nothing really matched and the bathroom was not especially pleasant. What we didn't like was the smell in the shared areas of the chambres - appalling. We managed it for about an hour or so before deciding to cut our losses and check out. The hotel by this time (late afternoon| was deserted so we could not complain.

For an extra 20 euros we drove east and stayed in a wonderful chateau!
