Very nice family hotel, very friendly staff, very attentive very good meals on the terrace very much appreciated in hot weather only hic rooms without air conditioning, the ventilation unfortunately not enough, and the noise of opening the windows

A family hotel

It's a small lodging on land that's located in the heart of the village, it's quiet and relaxing, it's a large parking lot and easy to access, it's a friendly and professional home, it's a clean and comfortable room, good breakfast.

It's nice.

A warm welcome, a nice room, beautifully decorated and above all impeccable. I had a light meal in the evening. What fresh produce! A lovely and very pro-servant who respects the customer. The perfect breakfast with the most difference between homemade jams and yogurts. Don't change anything. A recommended and recommended address.

Out of the ordinary!

We had already come to the restaurant one day and were very satisfied with the place so we decided to test the hotel. Spacious room by the garden with a very good bedding, bathroom with shower, just the side of the mirror which is a bit high. Very nice staff and we were able to enjoy our meals as well as breakfast on the terrace and enjoy the pool fully despite the crowds of people due to a wedding and holidays.

It's a great time.

The hostess was not a terrible hostess, she was quick and warm, the breakfast person was available and kind, disappointed, maybe we had a bad day.

I wouldn't recommend it.

Excellent hostel joli frame that looks like an old post office relay free parking restaurant and evening stage very copious don't let you get caught up by the huge pizzas family kitchen and cosy ambiance i would go back there

After a lunch with colleagues the place seemed nice to me and as I had to stay on the sector 24 hours I took a room. Good intuition. Small unpretentious establishment, very clean or you feel a bit like at friends' house nice home, simple room with a very good bedding and a nice shower; evening meal with a copycat Landaise pizza made in front of my eyes.

A private family run hotel with reasonable décor and comfort and large car park.
Set within walking distance of the town of Amou which is over the river bridge and a  short distance away.
The room price at 70 Euros per person was the highest we paid this trip.
The dinner was the most expensive of our whole trip and I was a little disappointed at the value for money.
After dinner we walked in to the town and look around a bull ring, used mainly for concerts nowadays.
We were lucky to come across the Chateau De Amou at the time the owner was closing the large original 300 year old wrought iron gates.  We had a pleasant chat and he explained he was the direct descendant of the family which had owner the Chateau for over 300 years.  He told us he had served in the French Army in Algeria, and presumably incurred damage to his hearing and lost an eye. A charming man which made our visit to Amou very worth while.

Most expensive of all hotels we stayed at.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Au Feu de Bois. Well appointed rooms and Christine went out of her way to make our stay a very pleasant one. Breakfasts were good and we enjoyed a splendid meal with our extended family. Clean, comfortable accommodation, friendly personnel who went out of their way to communicate despite our absence of any skill in French, and tasty, wholesome food, well prepared and nicely presented food, the four days we spent there were memorable and we enjoyed our time.
