We stayed at Jardin d’Antan. Which i liked because it was peaceful. Un Patio en Luberon is fancier and in the middle of town. I might stay there if I return but I really enjoyed the country serenity where we were. City or country?

City or Country?

I have to add my voice to all the many that have raved about this place. It is SO lovely! Stefan is a fantastic host and his place is unbelievably beautiful. (There are stairs to many of the rooms, however Stefan carried our luggage up for us). His breakfasts are a masterpiece of deliciousness--the BEST COFFEE of our entire time in France, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh croissants, fresh fruit, wonderful chocolate cake......

Fantastic stay!

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and I honestly wished I would’ve booked for longer. Stefan the host and owner of this beautiful place is very accommodating and attentive. The place and rooms are very well kept. The Air conditioning was perfect for hot summer nights and every room is very well equipped with all necessities. I’m booking this place again in the near future and can’t wait to chat with Stefan and the awesome guest that stay here. Highly recommended. If you like to walk, the town is perfect for walks and hikes.

Beautiful inside and out

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 5 nights and it was wonderful. Stefan is an enthusiastic and accommodating host. the breakfast is served in a lovely sun filled room with a fresco of bids painted on the ceiling. For breakfast, Stefan provides croissant and fruit, along with homemade pastries and freshly squeezed lemonade. The hotel is amazingly furnished and homey. We stayed in the Ansouis room which was very comfortable. There were steps up to the bathroom so keep in mind if you book this room. As with most European hotels, the shower is handheld in the bath, which would be my only, very small, criticism. But otherwise, all 100%.
The village of Ansouis is small and charming. the church at the top is beautiful and contains frescoes and paintings that are magnificent. There are 3 restaurants in the village, Le Grain de Sel which is fantastic, La Closerie which has a Michelin* (we did not eat there but was packed every night) and a restaurant/bar at the corner near the post office that serves good lunch and dinner...but does not take cc, only cash. The Patisserie near the Post Office is also fantastic. the croissants are famous. They also serve hot small lunches on their patio.
There is a grocery store that is well stocked. Parking is a challenge in any village and there is a large free parking lot at the entrance of the village. You will need to roll your bags up the hill to the hotel. Quick tip: park in the parking lot at the post office and take your bags up, it is closer. You can park there during the day for 1.5 hours and at night until 8am.
This is a fabulous hotel and I highly recommend it!

Wonderful hotel in a picturesque village

We stayed a week in this lovely place. The room was located in a beautiful old building in the small village Ansouis.
The owner really does everything that the staying will be pleasant: starting with a big welcome smile, cleaning the room perfectly each day, ends with the fact that each day a rich and tasty breakfast was served: a daily fresh croissant and baguette, cheese, fresh fruit salad, a daily home-made dish and home-made jams.
It is clear that the owner gives his soul to make his guests happy.

A great place to stay

Me and my spouse had stayed there for a full week.
The place is a lovely old house very well decorated.
Our room had a beautiful bathroom (no shower), very big and comfortable.
The owner is a very pleasant and welcoming.
He was able to prepare everyday  something new and special as an addition to a great breakfast which included self made jams, cheese plates and other tasteful staff.
We got very spoiled and this place plus its location as an entry point to a lot of hiking places made this vacation

Romantic & Spoiling 

A beautiful old building, very nicely converted to a bed and breakfast. Our room was up a steep staircase with a window overlooking the courtyard. The nearest parking is quite an uphill climb with your luggage and we could only find one restaurant in the village which was very expensive.
The bathroom was large with a shower over the bath, we would have preferred a separate shower but the double bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast is served in the ground floor brick lined cellar room which is lovely, the tables are a little small but the home made jams and cakes were a nice touch


Quirky

The owners of this charming small hotel, nestled amidst a tangle of narrow, old stone streets, go out of their way to spoil their guests, The lavish breakfasts -- with a different, home-baked surprise every morning -- were delicious, our hosts were unfailingly helpful with suggestions and directions, and our room was comfortable as well as spotless.

How to be spoiled

An awesome place to stay when traveling the south of France. The owners are very helpful. The scenery absolutely blows your mind. The hotel is located in age XVI house!

You also get access to a terrace with a view over the surrounding fields, where you can sit and have a rest with a couple of glasses of local wine.
