The good
- lovely host
- quiet location
- it was winter but I can see that in summer there must be a lovely pool and garden 
- good location although not walking distance to town
- nespresso/ tea in room

Not so good
- I had booked a suite with 2 separate rooms. The single room is at the front and is small and sparse. Curtains don't close well. There is a lack of privacy as other guests walk past and light comes through. The second room is large but has no windows. It is dark and not cozy.
The bathroom is big. No bath products at all, only some shower gel but not even soap. You need to walk through 2 nd room to get to bathroom
- breakfast is a typical French affair of baguette and croissant. I don't like either but ate some baguette and yoghurt. Coffee was good
- when we left I was told I needed to pay 35 E for extra bed. I was confused as I had booked a 2 bed suite on booking. com so why was I asked to pay more. The host was friendly about it and I didn't pay but I was not happy I was asked.

This is not a bad place and price was ok but not sure I would stay again. 

Good stay with a few minus points

We stayed there for 2 nights in September. 
Whilst we didn't really like the village which is a bit dull and lacks of charm, if not for the cute little oyster port, we really liked our stay in this bed and breakfast. 
The host Guy was lovely and spent a lot of time explaining us what we could do in the area, the breakfast was really nice with home made pastries and the room was nicely done. 


Nice place, great host

We paid to stay at La Louisiane for two nights in "the suite", which was quite a disappointment.  The room was like a converted garage: no windows or ventilation which made the room feel very hot and stuffy.  Our sheets smelled really bad as well - they smelled of damp masked with a thousand bottles of French perfume.  It wasn't pleasant at all.  There were no toiletries in the bathroom either, just a bottle of hand soap.  

Breakfast was okay but the guests were only provided with a few slices of fresh bread and cheese, butter, a pot of yogurt, and a piece of fruit.  

The location of the B&B was perfect though: right in between Arcachon and Cap Ferret.  We also made a trip to Biscarosse, which only took us an hour to get to. 

Our host, Murati, was an absolute pleasure.  He was friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome.  I think what we enjoyed about staying here was the fact that he didn't make you feel like you were staying in a stranger's house - he made us feel like we were part of his family.

A bit disappointed

We were amazed by the warm reception and constant readiness to help from the owner. We felt as if we were living in a lace envelope, surrounded by modern comfort. The excellent location, next to the bassin d'Arcachon, invited us to make a walk along its shores and we drove up in the direction of Cap Ferrat (don't miss the lovely mauresque Chapelle St. Marie du Cap at the waterfront in l'Herbe!). We'll be back for more!
