Hôtel Le Martray

Thank you Le Martray! It has taken me some time to write this review, however I wanted to express my gratitute to Laurent and the Le Martray team. My husband and I planned our wedding about a year in advance, and we are so happy to have chosen Le Martray as our venue. They were so helpful during the planning process- as we planned the entire wedding abroad! (I am French, living in Ecuador with my Ecuadorian husband) Laurent was always in contact with us over the months and was so patient with our changes in plans. We wanted our wedding to be held on Ile de Re, and our wish came true! My husband and I stayed at the hotel along with a large portion of our wedding party. Everyone won't stop talking about how well they ate and slept. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Above all, the kindness of the staff was definitely memorable. For many guests, this was their first trip to France and Le Matray made it feel extra special for them! Not to mention it was a perfectly-sized venue for and 80-person party. The staff helped us decorate the space and organize our evening. I didn't have to worry about all the small details since the staff did their best to make sure the night went smoothly. All of our guests had so much fun and described the event as "magical" . The food was superb, everyone had more than enough to eat and only had compliments to give to the kitchen. We asked that the kitchen make a special Ecuadorian soup to be served around midnight. Not only did they honor our request, but they made the soup perfectly and impressed our Ecuadorians!
