Our stay at le Braou was the most terrible of our entire trip. The staff was rude and brash. The place is dirty and the toilets so dirty that we didn't want to use them and also closed at night. To make matters worse, the front desk charged us more nights than we wanted to stay and didn't give us the opportunity to cancel. The pool is disgusting, the sanitary facilities are disgusting, the pricing policy is almost criminal. I guarantee you there is no need to spend a night here.

Notre séjour au Braou a été le plus horrible de tout notre voyage. Le personnel était impoli et impétueux. L'endroit est sale et les toilettes si sales que nous ne voulions pas les utiliser et également fermées la nuit. Pour aggraver les choses, la réception nous a facturé plus de nuits que ce que nous voulions et ne nous a pas donné la possibilité d'annuler. La piscine est dégoûtante, les sanitaires sont dégoûtants, la politique de prix est presque criminelle. Je vous garantis qu'il n'est pas nécessaire de passer une nuit ici.

Nuestra estancia en le Braou fue la más terrible de todo nuestro viaje. El personal era grosero y descarado. El lugar está sucio y los baños tan sucios que no queríamos usarlos y también cerraban por la noche. Para empeorar las cosas, la recepción nos cobró más noches de las que queríamos quedarnos y no nos dio la oportunidad de cancelar. La piscina es repugnante, las instalaciones sanitarias son repugnantes, la política de precios es casi criminal. Te garantizo que no hay necesidad de pasar una noche aquí.

Never Again !

We stay d here for a couple of nights on our way back from holiday.  The site is in the ACSI book, unfortunately we arrived whilst it was closed for lunch but there was a member of staff in the office who kindly let us in and told us to come back at 3.00 pm to register.
The site is level and the pitches are big enough to take a camper and an anwning.the sanitation block is clean but a bit dated. Could do with an upgrade. There is a pool which is small but kept nice and tidy. My rating is not only for the site but also for the excellent cafe/bar on the site. Th food is extremely good and the price is low. 
There isn't a shop on the site  but there is a boulangerie/pâtissière t'en minut s walk down the road.  There is also a small fruit and veg shop, 
You really need a bike to visit the harbour and beach it's too far to walk from the site. 
We would stay there again.

Nice site

There was a friendly welcome at reception and we had plenty of pitches to choose from. Most of the pitches would  take a motorhome with the awning out but with not much room to spare. We found that the majority of pitches were quite scruffy and devoid of grass leaving just compacted earth which was not very pleasant. The pitches looked unattractive and needed some TLC. Perhaps this explains the black footprints in the shower blocks? The showers need a good clean to remove the soap scum from the tiles. The site seemed generally run-down and uncared for. On the plus side there was free wi-fi and a good swimming pool! There was also a snack bar and a marquee for eating with a large screen TV. Bread could be ordered but I was told it could be collected at 9.30am at the earliest - and I had to negotiate that time!! Overall, very disappointing!!

Disappointing!

We moved to this site after a disappointing stay at another and wished we'd come here first.  The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area.  They allotted us a pitch but said we we're most welcome to choose one of the other free pitches, which we did and it wasn't a problem at all.  Showers etc all cleaned regularly but one suggestion would be to maybe have something to wipe our feet on before going into the actual shower/toilet areas as it was a shame to see them cleaning and then everyone just trailed on through leaving dirty footprints.  Pool area was great and  clean.  Its a quiet, peaceful, small site. Lovely.

Ideally located, friendly knowledgeble staff

We were directed to this campssite by a very helpful guy in the Tourist Office in Le Porge. We had recently bought a large new tent and wished to try it out. Although we only used the site for sleeping, he facilities were excellent. Swimming pool & snack bar,  great washing and showering facilities, friendly reception staff with excellent spoken English (although I'm now sufficiently proficient in French to cope these days).
Noise: I brought to the attention of the Manager, the rowdyness of people in the next emplacement. To their credit, they addressed the matter immediately and quiet calmness quickly prevailed again.
