Camping Capfun Merle Roux

Very nice staff, very helpful - they called us after booking that we booked the top caravan, while we had booked with an 'under 2 year old'. They mentioned that the way up was steep and would be hard with a buggy and therefore we rebooked and picked a different caravan. Very thoughtful! Nice clean camping, but if you booked a mobil home, you will have to walk a very steep hill for fresh bread every day. Keep that in mind if you aren't very mobile yourself. The mobil homes though all looked fresh and new! I guessed that ours was used only once or twice. Four swimming pools (one for toddlers/babies), but not a lot of seats and tanning beds. As it can get really hot, there are especially around 4pm a lot of people in and around he pools. At times, they are pretty strict on warning you for wearing shorts in the pool. Keep that in mind. What we missed at the pool was a bit of shade. Overall on the camp site there wasn't a lot of shade, although most rentals do have a porch at least partially with a rooftop. The restaurant available is nice. Not bad at all for a camp site restaurant. also available a snack bar with dutch snacks and french snacks. The camping ship wasn't a lot, no meat or such, but if you forgot your 'hagelslag', they have it . however, there is an intermarche at 5km and a hyper U at 20 minutes so you should be fine! lots of stuff to do around, and look especially for the local espace de baignades. Swimming in the river etc. So nice when it's so busy at the pool. If you go there in summer, a mobile home with AC is not a waste of money! At night it does cool down. There is a kids club and a playground for kids. When using the camp site, showers, toilets etc all looked clean as well. Also washing machines at hand, for 4,50. There is some entertainment, which ends around 11pm, so after that it's quiet. What I particularly liked also about this camping is that we didn't have to leave the mobile home until noon if we would have wanted...! Usually it's around 10am... Great holiday, warm weather, lots to do in the surroundings (most take about 20-min to an hour-hour and half to get there)
