This campsite is in a super location close to a very large beach that cannot get crowded. There is however no life guards on this beach so be aware of this. The entertainment in the evening was enjoyable but during the day when guests may want to siesta/relax in the heat, it is playing in the cafe/entertainment area and is intrusive when cabins are so close. Good pool, facilities, shop bike hire all great.

Good but too noisy during the day with un-necessary music

Great location but cramped pitches poorly maintained for price you pay. Great pool and toilet facilities. Shop well stocked but expensive. Lake is beautiful and warm lots to do around the lake. Stayed an extra night in Aire over the road which was only 14 euros as site said was full even though spare pitches where still available and empty when we left ?

Family holiday

We stayed on a nice sized pitch in the wooded area.
Facilities are good although the pool area is not great, but the campsite is right on a beautiful beach.
Bar is outdoors and had some nice beers. The best ever veggie campsite pizza from the take-away.

A pretty campsite a lovely location.

We travelled to Domaine le Midi on the 8th August for a week’s stay departing on the 15th August 2020. We paid for a 4 star cottage for a family of 4 at a shade under 1500 euros. The problems started the moment we arrived and were not resolved so we checked out on Wed 12th August as the second warm fridge was not cutting it in 30+ degree heat! The final straw was a large pool of water inside the cottage on the Monday morning after some rain.

* The first cottage we walked into was 35 degrees at7pm at night. Reception don't have any fans.
* There was an active wasps next outside the property that was cordoned off
* After nearly two hours we managed to negotiate a different cottage. It was a 3 star unit (we had a booked 4* which came with bedding) but once realised reception was shut....
* The units don't have any fly protection so its impossible to get cool air in and keep the bugs out
* The first fridge and freezer were warm, the second fridge was warm, the freezer worked.
* We woke up one morning to find a large pool of water in the van after some rain. This was the final straw!

Overall it was a very frustrating experience with many issues that were not resolved. Customer service were very hard to deal with on the Saturday when we arrived which was not welcome with two young boys to settle. We have been offered a 150 euro discount on the next booking....

Great setting, too many issues and compromises

The campsite is nicely located at the beach! A mix of pitches is available, either close to the beach or between the trees, most of them quite large. Amenities like pool, snackbar and animation are fit for purpose.
Sanitary blocks are modern and kept clean during our stay.
The atmosphere is relaxed and family orientated. Like the entire island of Noirmoutier.

Domaine le Midi - camping direct at the beach

Lovely smallish but professional campsite. Great location being near cycle paths and small village with cycle hire. A few great restaurants near by and helpful staff. Near the beach ( about three minutes) and lovely compact swimm8ng pool 

Family camp

We walked by the campsite everyday and wondered about booking next year. One day we asked whether we could have a quick look to make sure we liked it. 
3 customer service ladies sitting at the desk without anyone to serve refused to let us in, or to take us around for 2 minutes. I asked in which circumstances they would let us have a very quick look: only if we booked for this summer. I said it would be difficult for me to come from London In the winter to book. 
It’s a no. 
Apparently turning potential business away is ok, without a smile or any bedside manner. 

Appalling way of talking to people in general, and to potential customers. 

The customer service line passed me straight to the reception, do nothing can get sorted.

Obstructive on site customer service

Anyone using the ASCI book for directions to this campsite who is towing a caravan or driving a motor home do not as per there instructions take the left off the 3 roundabout after the bridge as this will take you through the small narrow village of Barbatre (nightmare especially in July/August) instead take a left off the 4th roundabout again which is signposted to the campsite. This was our second year at this campsite and as normal on the last evening we were looking to eat at the onsite snack bar (the usual burger/chicken/chips/pizza) BUT they had done away with this and it was just food vans that visited the site on certain days. The evening we chose all that was on offer was a food van selling just Thai food okay for adults but not for young children. We then walked into Barbatre to try and find a restaurant but there was only one open which was very small and fully booked. By this time everyone was very hungry. Luckily there was a food van selling pizza in the car park of the Supermarket. Of course the campsite has had a change of management since last year and although everything else was the same the snack bar which was buzzing when we went last year no longer does food.

Good Campsite BUT .....

A very large camp site with direct access to the local beach.  We did not make a reservation we just turned up in our camper van.  The site is well run and the reception staff all spoke very good English.  There are a lot of trees on this camp site so if in a camper van have a good look first. We did not make use of the swimming pool or the camp shop or bar all of which look very nice. Showers and toilets were very clean. A very nice camp site.

One night stay in September 2018

A great campsite  - ignore the bad reviews! Superb location for the beach and a place where real experienced campers go. A great mix of nationalities and the staff were friendly and helpful. Amenities are clean and well equipped. We never used the really nice looking pool as just a short walk through the site was a fantastic safe beach  (never crowded) that was more tempting! Stayed for 10 days in our motorhome on a pitch that had some full sun, partial sun and shade between the trees. Occasional mozzie but never really bothered us - no more than any Euro campsite I've ever been to!  Alternative pitches closer to the beach but no respite from the blazing sun in 2018! Check out the Sandaya pitch map but we wont reveal our pitch number as we want it next year. 

Barbatre village is only 400m away with a decent supermarket, bike hire etc though the shop on the site and the occasional visiting takeaway van more than suffice. Well positioned for cycling to nearby town of La Guerinere and Passage to Gois. Generally experienced campers on the site so tend to know when to quieten down at reasonable hours. We certainly will be back, we had a great holiday. 

Thoroughly recommended, back next year.
