My wife stayed at the Ptit Angélus for a couple of nights and we can't stop raving about how great the experience was. For starters, the owner is a lovely lady who cares about all the small details. She has a wonderful personality and she definitely loves what she does. 

We stayed in the attic which is the suite and we were very happy with our choice. The beams in the roof can prove to be a bit of an annoyance but again my wife and I felt that it was all a part of the experience of staying in the countryside. The room itself was spacious and has all the necessities for a short stay. I guess our only real gripe was that the AC didn't work well but again that didn't bother us because we were just happy with everything else. The charm of the B&B itself to the little town of Barbizon really made it an unforgetful experience.

The breakfast was really out of this world as the owner got us fresh bread and produce from town and everything was prepared with so much love and attention. 

Overall, I highly recommend that you check this place out and I'm sure that you'll fall in love as soon as you set foot on her beautiful property.

The Ultimate French B&B Experience in Barbizon

Barbizon is a lovely little place to break a journey from the South, hidden away in the delightful forest of Fontainebleau.  We were greeted by Nathalie and shown to a lovely room on the ground floor, beautifully decorated (as is the entire house).  Our bathroom was separate from the bedroom but was great - excellent drench shower!
After an excellent night's sleep (and a vg dinner in the village) we enjoyed probably the best breakfast of our long trip (France, Germany, Slovenia, Italy and back through France).  French toast (yummy!), fresh coffee, yoghurt and fruit, a delicious omelette and as much bread and pastry as you wanted.  I would recommend this little B&B wholeheartedly,  Nathalie cares and it really shows!

Charming

I was really looking forward to staying here after reading the reviews, unfortunately I was a little disappointed. The setting is lovely and only a brief walk from the beautiful village of Barbizon. Our room was clean and pleasant but lacked the few home comforts. I like to be able to make a drink in my room. Not that it mattered but TV didn't work. Wifi was brilliant. Breakfast was nice , hosts friendly. It is a late book in 5pm don't try and get in a bit earlier like we did 4.40 as you won't get a reply!

Great location 

The lady was great in making you very welcome, the room was comfortable, but the highlight I think was the amazing breakfast! Barbizon is a lovely French village. Best to go by car as apart from village centre being 10 mins away, it is in the middle of nowhere.

This B&B is lovely with comfortable rooms, great shower, a lovely sitting room and a fabulous breakfast. Although it was difficult to find the place and check in was late at 5 pm the host made us very welcome and made us coffee on our arrival. Overall, it is a great place to stay and the village of Barbizon is beautiful with good restaurants. We went to Chateau Fontainebleau the next day and this was easy from here. Thank you for a great stay!!
