This is a very old place, but beautifully updated.  It has a lovely calm charm.  We chose the largest room -but it was very romantic looking out over the garden and river.  The hostess manages this place on her own and some things such as the garden suffer from a little neglect.  Nevertheless it is quite beautiful to have breakfast out there.  One evening we elected to have a picnic out there and she helped us with dishes and candles. It was beautiful out there and so peaceful.  The large bathtub with bubble bath was a very nice touch.  Also, I appreciated the several mirrors around and lots of storage shelves in the bathroom.  Breakfast was adequate: lots of coffee, baguette and yogurt and fruit + juice. Highly recommended, not a bargain but a perfect location in a very lovely village.

A romantic beautiful place.

Baume-les-Messieurs is a very charming place and this b&b matches it just right. It is very clear that the house itself is a designer's work- the perfect combination of the french charm and the latest interior design fashion. It is beautiful and creepy in the same time, definitely unique! The owner was very friendly, she recommended a good place for dinner and prepared the best breakfast we probably ever had in a b&b! Too bad we couldn't stay there long enough to enjoy a lazy afternoon in the gorgeous back yard, but the view from the window, the friendliness of the owner, the charm of the house and a breathtaking nature made us feel like we didn't miss a thing and not regret the price we paid to experience it! 

A bit overpriced but very very nice

Plenty of charm but a rather cluttered interior and very run down garden and surrounds and not cheap. Beware that this is not a hotel! It sometimes appears as this when booking. Our hostess bought this and the adjacent (apparently unoccupied and unrestored) building and reconstructed the 18 C house which is the B&B. Not easy to find as the sign is partially obscured but it is opposite the church on entering the village. Parking is a few yards away in a public car park. Excellent breakfast in the garden if you wait for the sun to get to it and plenty of advice as to where to eat in the village and our hostess will book for you. The village is idyllic but the prices reflect the charm.

Rustic Charm

Beautiful and well decorated B&B, French brocante is all over the place. The rooms in the wonderful building are romantic, cosy and clean. Breakfast is excellent. The garden of the B&B is beautiful, unfortunately we couldn’t use it because of the weathers in autumn. 
The location is a little bit outside of the village, but parking is easy (a parking spot just around the corner) and within a 15 minute walk you are in the centre of the lovely village of Baume-les-Messieurs.

Beautiful brocante B&B

This is a delightful bed and breakfast. Building is amazing - old stone structure. Gorgeous inside - an updated, clean, rustic feel. Host was extremely accommodating, though do note English is not her strong suit. You'll be fine though even if you don't speak French (we were). Petit dejeuner was a wonderful way to start the day (included in the price for us). One thing to note - don't trust google maps. Or probably any gps system for that matter. Google Maps and Apple Maps both took us on ridiculous goose chases in the dark, winding streets of the area. Have an actual map to reference, and you should be fine. Arriving in daylight would help as well as the signage of the place is near impossible to see at night. Wonderful stay though - I would highly recommend.
