The jasmine scent drifted into the street as we approached the simple wooden gates which, on entry revealed a magical walled garden. Stephan greeted us in really good English. Le Colline is a stylish, modern small pension, handily located for all the Bayeux central  attractions. The rooms are comfortable, ours with terrace overlooking the beautifully tended and well stocked garden. We particularly enjoyed the communal breakfast table arrangements.

Loved our stay here. The gardens were lovely, the rooms well appointed. The owners were very nice plus knowledgeable about the area. Lovely breakfasts. We stayed 4 nights and were very well located.

Lovely B&B

“We really enjoyed our stay at La Colline. The property is walled and surrounds a beautifully designed and maintained garden worthy of a destination in and for itself.  The many seating opportunities in the garden were a perfect place for inspired relaxation. Our room was in a modern annex with it's own smartly designed patio and common area.  The room was modern, beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and the hosts were charming and attentive. The cathedral, tapestry and other museums and many great restaurants are a quick walk from the B&B and it's also a great base for exploring the D-Day sites by car.”

Urban oasis in Bayeux

It's a fantastic small B&B in Bayeux. Perfectly located at the center of the city yet very silent, located within a charming courtyard. Both the room and the garden are beautifully decorated. The room which we have stayed with our two kids was big enough with high ceilings while kids stayed in the mezzanine with a private bathroom. 

The hotel is run with a family and Stephane is a fantastic host who provides you lots of information if you are interested and makes you feel at home. The breakfast is also very rich and served in a very nice room.

Excellent Stay in Bayeux

Behind the front entrance is a beautiful garden to sit and relax with a bottle of wine. The room was very roomy and comfortable for 3 and the breakfast was a delicious assortment of homemade breads, jams, yogurt, and French toast that was a great way to start the day. Stephan was a fantastic host and we enjoyed or conversations with him and the other guests. The location is perfect for a 2 mins walk to the town center and great for the D-Day tours. 10 out of 10! 

A little Gem in Bayeaux

We had a great stay at this B&B in Bayeux.  It was perfect for our family of 4, with room for our 2 children to sleep in the upstairs loft.  The room seemed to be newly built and had a charming decor.  There was a beautiful garden outside the rooms.  The breakfast was amazing and included many home made items including yogurt, breads, and jams.  The owner was very kind and hospitable and answered all of our questions.  We came for the Normandy beach tours, but were pleased to find that Bayeux is an absolutely charming city.  This B&B is in a stellar location, right next to the Bayeux Tapestry museum, a few minutes walk from where the Normandy tours meet, and a few blocks from the Cathedral and beautiful parts of old town.  We had a rental car but didn't use it at all in Bayeux.  If we had known, we might have just taken a train from Paris and not bothered with the rental car.    We would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous place to stay in Bayeux

I very highly recommend this hotel right in the centre of Bayeux. The rooms are fantastic and spacious, the breakfast lovely and the owners delightful and extremely helpful and accomodating. My family loved it and we would definitely stay here again. Superb!

Superb!

Stayed here for three nights.  The B&B is very nice and perfectly located.  The owner was extremely nice and provided great service.  There are 4 rooms to the B&B.  The room we had was on two levels with two twin beds in the upstairs loft and a double bed on the main level.  There also was a large garden that we were able to use.  Breakfast was provided by the owner in his house.  An excellent value.  Highly recommended.

Excellent B&B

Our group of 3 couples stayed at La Colline B and B for two nights in early April.  The accommodations are superior-high quality in every way!  We were welcomed by owner Stephane who allowed us to arrive and check in at our convenience, and prepared a delicious breakfast (with homemade yogurt, jams and cakes) both mornings.  Stephane told us that he renovated the rooms himself, and he is hands on in every way.  The innn is located near the downtown and is walking distance to attractions (especially the Tapestry museum which is steps away).  There is a lovely garden area with outside seating that is available to guests if the weather is good.  La Colline was the favorite lodging location for our group on our two week stay in Normandy and we recommend it without reservation!

Wonderful B and B near downtown Bayeux!

We stayed three nights with our three children. Cannot recommend it enough. Room was beautiful and away from the main house so quite independent. Stefan was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. He was very accomodating to our three young children. We would go back tomorrow either as a couple or a family. Location is excellent a few minutes walk to the centre of town and restaurants (less than five minutes) and close to the cathedral and tapestry.
