Very nice small hotel, very well maintained, central but quiet. Warm home, simple but nickel rooms, good bedding, royal decoration, small deck on the terrace, I recommend!!! Charming building on the main street, everything is done on foot.

A very cheap hotel with a very friendly reception in the heart of the city of Bayeux. Simple and clean, close to all the tourist attractions of Bayeux.

Cheap hotel

Super location, but a very neat room, toilet on the floor, no parking, no electrical sockets to plug in a simple hair dryer, no toilet paper, a desirable deco kitsch with pictures of William and Kate, a shower pot that has never been dismantled, no floor to lay down its toilet kit, no climate, narrow and dangerous stairs. Tres disappointed with the price... an ibis a 1st class are much better for a few more euros... I don't recommend

To avoid

Stayed at the Au Georges VII,it was a very nice place to stay but if you have mobility problems the stairs may be an issue.
The place is a great stop in the heart of Bayeux and is 10 minute walk from the station. 
it's close by to the Bayeux Tapestry,Military cemetery and museum and also the Beautiful Notra Dame Cathedral of Bayeux which is in walking distance.
The price for board was very reasonable for the room,and would be affordable  for any young people backpacking, or a couple staying over for a couple of nights. downful is though you have to share shower and the stairs.

Great on a budget

This is a hostel-like hotel right in the middle of Bayeux, situated in a 16th century building. The rooms are clean but very small and there are shared bathrooms. The owner was pleasant and helpful. The challenge is the very narrow and steep spiral staircase up to the second and third floors where the rooms are located. My aged uncle and I booked in for a week but we had to leave after one night because his heart and knees couldn't take the strain.

But the rooms are small, and the bed has to be repaired, because the next day the back hurts.

Hotel

This place is more of a hostel than a hotel. Room was very clean and basic. Wifi password wasn't given to us on check in and the thumb tacked one on the wall was wrong, by the time we realized it the bar/reception was closed. No wifi for us that night. Parking was the big issue. When I booked through booking.com the info was that parking was close and cost one euro. The men running the place had no clue about parking. They said park on the street. Good luck finding parking there. We asked about pay parking and they told us about nearby lots. When we checked it was 25 euros for 3 hours (that is not a misprint), more than any hotel room would cost. We finally asked at the TI office and were directed to free parking outside the main town area about a 10-15 min walk away. It would be nice if people in the hotel business could tell you details like this, they couldn't have cared less. Also shared bathroom toilet was over utilized with people constantly waiting to get in.

Don't believe the info about parking

We stayed at the hotel in order to take a day trip to Normandy beaches with a tour company and the tour pickup was within easy walking distance. The room opened onto the street and had a nice view of the cathedral if you stuck out your head and turned. We could hear the church bells.
Sunday night was fairly quiet and there were few choices for dinner. Monday, the grocery stores were open and so were many restaurant choices. 

Note that the street noise was pretty loud on Monday night. All in all, this place was nice compared to a hostel. It isn’t 5 stars but it gets the job done. Nice spiral staircase. If you have heavy roller luggage this place would be difficult.

Two night stay

I found this hotel clean and good value for Bayeux. I was hosteling in France and could not find a hostel in Bayeux so chose a cheaper hotel.

The room was basic (no TV or tea/coffee facilities) but was clean and quiet. The shared toilet and bathroom facilities were also very clean.

The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the cathedral and tapestry museum.

The hotel was above a cafe (same owners) and the food was good in the cafe.

The owner was friendly and I left my bag whilst I went on a half day D-Day tour following my stay of one night.

Recommended for a good value night in Bayeux. I'd stay again.

Friendly family hotel in good location in Bayeux centre.

The hotel-bar is in the centre (behind the cathedral 5 minutes from the tourist office). Unfortunately the main road, where it is located, on the days when I stayed, was closed to the trunk. Having a suitcase (heavy) I had asked for parking but couldn't get there by car I called and for all the answer Stand behind the tourist office and then 5 minutes..but where is the office? And especially since the roads were blocked as you get there? So I had to have 15 minutes with a suitcase to drag in the crowd. Before I could get there by car and explained how to get there.
