We have just returned from a great trip to Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The La Residence apartments are well equipped, comfortable and a fantastic location for restaurants and bars less than 5 mins walk. About 10 mins walk from the train station. The La Residence offers great value for money as you have full use of the magnificent hotels facilities.
The staff at the hotel are very polite and professional and speak perfect English. The lady who checked us in Manon was particularly helpful. The pool guys are great and extremely helpful when moving a sun-lounger or parasol. (Micheal in in particular). Drinks and food are little expensive but you are staying at a 5 star establishment with amazing views and very professional staff. We are looking forward to our next stay and could not recommend the hotel and apartments enough.

2nd Visit!

Stayed in the La Residence (just across the road) - which was absolutely fine but ate in the main restaurant which was really good. However, it’s the staff that make this place…from the reception - delightful, the concierge - amazing, MD - top class, waiting staff - so accommodating and the sommelier - nails his wines. It’s this team of boys and girls that put the 5th star in 5 star service. Well done - we had a great time and you kept us fully entertained for the entire GP weekender. Thank you.

The staff make this hotel exceptional

The Hotel La Reserve across the street recommended their Residential property la Residence for two couples instead of two hotel rooms. It was actually an entire apartment with two bedrooms, two baths, a lining room a kitchen, and a small foyer on the 4th floor by elevator. Perfectly equipped with dishes, kitchen utensils contemporary furniture, and elegant bathrooms. You have a home away from home, perfectly located near the sea, the village, shops, market, and restaurants. 15 Minutes to Monaco by car.

We went for Christmas and were charmed by the facilities of the main hotel - the impeccable service in the Gordon Bennett, we also ate in the bistro style restaurant in the hotel which was very good.  

Did not try leisure facilities due to the time of the year.

Perfect location and spacious, well maintained apartments

These apartments are well appointed and very comfortable and the village of Beaulieu sur Mer is quite lovely and a quiter pace than Nice which is only a few trains stops away.

We had a pleasant stay but there were a few things that would have made our stay a lot better.

Upon check in the Receptionist noticed with disappointment that there were no supplies left in the room. They did appear on the 2nd day but it also meant we were seaching the streets in the early hours of our 1st morning in seach of tea and coffee. I really would have thought that was unaccaptable for an establishment like this.

Secondly we were told and had read that we could use the facilities of the Hotel across the own. Turns out you can but only if you book a table for lunch and given the cheapest thing on the menu is a 30euro salad that was a VERY expensive swim ! It is, however, a lovely pool with stunning views and good service so we did have an enjoyable afternoon.

The last thing that really disappointed us was when the French taxi drivers decided to strike and we were stranded in Nice. We rang the hotel but they could not help and when we found out this was a planned strike we were mortified that no-one warned us ! Sure, we'll be dining out on the story of how we got home for decades but still very disappointed at the service provided ( or lack of).

Just like the taxi drivers are feeling the pain of Uber likewise Airbnb offers much better value than this hotel

Well located but theres probably better value

This was a special weekend away for 7 friends. We had a two and a three bedroom apartment and were delighted with the accommodation. Immaculate apartments, Tip top facilities in every room.. The kitchen had every appliance you could ever want and the beds were very, very comfortable. Everything was cleaned to the highest standard. If we go back to that part of France we would definitely use these apartments again. Although we didn't use the hotel facilities across the road, we had a wonder round and if we do go back it will be for a longer stay and will definitely make use of the pool and sun terrace. Excellent place to stay if you  want to visit Monte Carlo. Only three stop on the train and only 5.20 Euros return.

Weekend with the Girls

These apartments are linked to La Reserve hotel across the road. They are spacious  and well furnished, and would be ideal for a family, however the block is directly on the busy road (with a ridiculous number of noisy motorbikes on it). Even though it is double glazed with shutters, these dont keep the noise out. Also the air conditioning isn't working, so it was sweltering. We had to move to the hotel after the first night, and the staff were fabulous in accommodating this last minute move. The hotel rooms are away from the road facing the sea, so they are completely quiet, which is what we wanted.
