A nice, cozy and tastefully furnished structure (as well as the room) located in a good location, in the vicinity of bars, restaurants and shops, all around fields of loss of eyes. Presence of large free parking within the perimeter of the structure. Rich and varied breakfast, largely  madehome served in a nice room by a very affectionate lady.

Finally at Mont Saint Michel

We stayed in this delicious B&B. We were greeted by the very kind Mrs. Danielle who showed us our very clean and very nice room. Breakfast is excellent and abundant. Compliments to Danielle's colleague who delighted us with her homemade jams and yoghurt. I highly recommend it to anyone going on a trip to Mont Saint Michel.

What a wonderful experience

We stayed here April 2023 for two nights in the triple room and had a wonderful stay.  

Here are our observations/experiences that also factor items such as:  what we knew prior to booking (type and cost of lodging), historical variables, total value for the money and comparisons with similar experiences – we greatly appreciate travelers who have provided reviews for our vacation planning and hope this info helps you too 😊:

THE GOOD STUFF:
•	B&B owner staff accommodating, friendly and helpful.  Daniella (owner) was one of the best B&B hosts we were blessed to meet during our many travels – she was delightful and joyful.  She has a great staff too:  Evelyna (cooking) and Elena (housekeeping).
•	House, owners, and staff embody the French countryside as a place to stay – being surrounded by farmland is great, too. 
•	We learned that the house was built by Patricia’s parents and continues to be owned by her family.  
•	We had a triple room, plenty of space in bedroom; bathroom was a bit smaller but functional (shower was tiny)
•	Décor – nice, antiques, original wooden beams, real orchids in room
•	Very close to Mont Saint-Michel
•	Plenty of fluffy towels
•	A real top sheet on the bed – this was great as most places in Europe use comforters for top coverings and not sheets. 
•	Windows open and are soundproofed
•	Comfortable room, bed, pillows
•	USB port on one side of bed
•	Hot water kettle in room
•	Overhead lights – gave us plenty of light
•	Extraordinary breakfast, including homemade yogurt with strawberry preserves, breads (baguettes, brioche), meats and cheeses, coffee, teas, juices.  
•	We could see and appreciated the delight we saw in Daniella and Evelyna as they served breakfast to their guests.  Everyone was made to feel special. 
•	Free on-site parking next to B&B
AWARENESS STUFF:  
•	No elevator – didn’t really need one, one flight of stairs to our room.  Not for mobility-challenged folks, though due to stairs. 
•	Floor was squeaky, glad our room was above reception so we did not disturb anyone as we walked in the room
•	WiFi worked – satisfactory, not great
NEEDS ACTION:  
•	Nothing 😊


Wonderful B&B (best experience during our 3-week trip), owner + staff extraordinary, excellent breakfast

Our family of 3 stayed one night when visiting MSM. We are grateful when we can find a bed for our son in the same room. I enjoyed a rare great night's sleep in this quiet country setting. We walked to the MSM shuttle from here, and all the way back from the Mont! We didn't see much of Danielle, who recommended two dinner restaurants, one of which we tried. The singsong breakfast lady was entertaining to watch. She obviously loves her job. It was nice to have an included breakfast. The room decor was a little quirky but it was clean and comfortable.

Friendly, comfortable, quiet B&B within walking distance to MSM

Very nice home, free parking and very pleasant garden, spacious and well equipped rooms, two steps from Mont Saint Michel charming hostess, good advice for nearby restaurants full breakfast with local products and homemade thanks a lot to Danielle and Evelyne, everything was perfect a place to stay I recommend we spent three nights there Michel and Gilbert, Catherine

A perfect stay

This is a really lovely place, the room was so cute , perfectly cleaned up and the breakfast was delicious. The owner is a nice kind lady that immediately puts you at ease. The lady who helps her for serving the breakfast is also nice and kind. The hotel is at walk distance from Saint Michel. I recommend you. 

A lovely and quiet place

We loved staying at Les Vieilles Digues. It is a perfect location for visiting Mont St. Michel - the parking and shuttle is an easy 5 minute drive. The room we were in was spacious and comfortable, with all of the amenities we could have asked for (including a cooler!). Breakfast was really tasty. The property is super quiet at night and was made for getting a good sleep.
The best part of the stay was meeting Danielle, the hostess of the property. She was joyful and welcoming, very accomodating, and she made a great restaurant recommendation for dinner. We noticed during breakfast that she remembered every guest's name - making us feel at home.

An excellent stay and warm welcome by the guests. A generous and quality lunch. The possibility of walking to Mount Saint Michael. Ideal for a romantic or family outing. I recommend it to everyone.

It's a great stay.

There was no negative point. Everything was very good! The warm welcome, the very pleasant room, the breakfast served at the table, the large parking lot. Some 3- or 4-star hotels could take this as an example!

Perfection at a reasonable price!!

This is a nice Bed and Breakfast if you want to visit MSM, but escape the madness of the crowds around the island itself.  Others have discussed the shuttles to MSM in their reviews, but we prefer to walk.  You can access the bike path a short distance from Les Vieilles Digues and it is about 2 miles to the island.  It is a nice and easy level walk with only bike traffic and a great view of the abbey as you are on your journey.

Danielle is an excellent hostess.  She speaks very good English, is gracious, kind, and could not be more helpful.  Our bed was comfortable and breakfast was quite good. Danielle had an equally friendly and helpful lady who served us in the morning.  

The address for this facility is Beauvoir, so do not be misled by thinking it is not in the MSM area.  As noted, it is about a 2 mile walk from MSM.  Also, there were a couple of restaurants close by if you were to choose to eat off the island of MSM.
