This place is amazing!! Spent 7 nights here in June the site itself is beautiful set in beautiful surroundings. We stayed in a mobile home that had everything we needed. I stayed with my two sons aged 7 and 13. The pools were awesome and the play areas kept my youngest busy. We ate at the restaurant that was perfect the young man who waited on us was very friendly and spoke perfect English. All the staff here are a credit the the place very kind and welcoming. The shop had your basics and fresh bread daily, we took advantage of this it’s a must! There’s a supermarket about 5 mins drive that has everything you need and surrounding towns are just beautiful! I will be returning with my husband. Thank you for making us welcome and I felt so comfortable and safe staying here alone with my children

Perfect

I have scored 1 point only for the framework. Dirty toilets, Cold and Dirty Pool (dirty water), broken slide, no surveillance normally.Compulsory in France. Small and shaded location yet requested booking Epicerie little supplied Dutch food truck only order and explanation in Dutch only. Bar and restaurant do not understand what you order, but las vius drink what you are brought. Even if you do not understand, we do not repeat. It is up to us to speak Dutch! Located in our beautiful French region of the Dordogne, no staff speaks French. French children punished with no activity and no evening because everything is in any Dutch.

French Abstinence

Camping for Dutchmen, run by Dutchmen. It doesn't speak French. Child animations in Dutch so it's not even worth putting little Frenchmen in it. Swimming pool certainly with nice slides but cold and without pedilove (a shame) and without any supervision. More dangerous, several injuries to regret. Restaurant very dull and expensive. No entrance barrier, no bracelet. The whole campsite is free to access. It's very noisy sometimes until 11:30 p.m.

5 stars?

This is the second time we've been to an RCN campsite (we've done the one in Vendée). This campsite is human-sized, well situated, quiet but close to places of interest (I recommend visiting Lascaux in particular). The mobile homes are well equipped (live the dishwasher!), spacious and clean even if they're less spaced than those at the Latois Farm. The swimming pool (unheated or supervised swimming pools) is very good for children (more slides, a paddock, a quick crazy river ).

Very good stay.

Reason: hygiene, safety, language barrier. hygiene: no pedestrian swimming pool- no swimming pool shower, overcrowded, running (even with shoes) on each other...sanitary away from a 5*...mixed and small. safety: one swimming pool monitoring for 3 pools, a French swimmer for 95% Dutch, who does not understand and respect (we witnessed an accident at the pool.. lack of swimming pool monitoring, while the victim has an ITT of at least 3 months..then no Hollerie can enter the campsite (no brace or pass), so no doubt before entering the campsite, no code for the past two years, but by phone, we are not allowed to communicate with the children on board the campsite.

Family Holidays

Camping conducted by Dutchmen with 95% Dutchmen. It might not be inconvenient if there was a good atmosphere. All the animations are in Dutch, the animators do not speak French. Little or no animation in the evening, noisy until 11:00 p.m. Ambiance coffee shop in the evening on the restaurant terrace. No security at the campsite itself, no entrance surveillance, no bracelets, unregulated youth gatherings. Very little surveillance in the water park. The only ones trained are the French restaurant and housekeeping staff.

It's high season, Frenchman, go your way!

Camping in Dutch, very little French, quite noisy. Animations in Dutch by Dutch animators. Campsites tented on top of each other. Camping is not safe at night and especially at the water park level, only one swimming guard and parents are absent.

Camping for the Dutch is unfriendly

This holiday we stayed at our 3rd RCN campsite, having been 3 years to La Ferme du Latois and 1 to Collines de Castellane, this year it was time to try the Dordogne.

  The site is large with offerings of generous pitch sizes to varying ranges of accommodation.  However the layout of the site groups pitches and accommodations into separate areas which creates a much more intimate environment.  

There are plenty of play areas, zip wire, table tennis, volley ball and playing field for sports.  We stayed in a mobile home which was clean, well equipped with covered terrace, furniture and 2 sun loungers, we also had a large garden area. The mobiles are thoughtfully positioned among trees and hedges so you have plenty of privacy.

The pool area was a highlight, more like a small water park, with 4 different slides and a crazy river with 4 separate pools and outdoor gym.  There are also 2 fishing lakes on site which kept my dh and ds very happy.

We used the terrace and restaurant a few times, service and food was very good, all the staff are lovely and helpful. 

The location of the site was perfect, surrounded by the beautiful Dordogne countryside, a short drive to the very pretty medieval town of Belves and nearby to many of the most must see sites in the Dordogne.  We visited Sarlat, Castlenaud, Beynac, Roque - de- Gageac, Domme and of course the 16km canoe trip down the river which was very tiring.  Such a wonderful part of France to explore. There is a large supermarket nearby in Siorac for all your shopping needs.

We recommend this park strongly for a family with young children. The site is beautiful and the facilities are good en clean. Also the activities are great. Unique is the great swimming pool and the way the staff of this park treats you gives a warm welcome and the knowledge that they will do everything tot make your visit unforgettable.
