Armoric Hotel

Just returned home after a very pleasant week at the Armoric Hotel and I would like to thank all the people who work there for their friendly welcome. A special mention of course for Irene's delicious cooking! My favourite dish was the Dinde avec Sauce Aigre Douce. The choice of dishes is amazing and dinner, like breakfast, is very good value. The position of the hotel is one of its major attributes, everything is within walking distance and walking around Benodet is a pleasure in itself. The atmosphere is that of a traditional seaside hotel, where the owners seem genuinely concerned that you enjoy your holiday and who work very hard. There is always somebody available to deal with queries, make you a drink and offer advice. I found the bed very comfortable and particularly liked the 2 chairs around the desk, not sure if they are baroque or empire style. The chairs on the small terrace were comfortable as well. My room gave onto the garden and it was wonderful, coming from a large city to be able to listen to the birds singing and sometimes nothing at all. The music was exactly to my taste in the restaurant, such a change from the usual muzak which aspires to provide ambiance but does completely the reverse.
