away from everything, 10 minute taxi to centre Bergerac  20 - 25 euros,        very basic  clean, comfortable  nice bathroom recently decorated. breakfast okay.   No bars close by, supermarkets 5 minutes walk. 

Clean very basic

Booked in for 2 nights but left, without refund, after the first night. Woken early by staff entering our room and workmen clearing all the rooms around us of furniture. The room was OK but we were caught in the middle of a major refit which should have closed the place.  If we had known this we would have booked elsewhere. Matters were madr worse but the failure of the chef to turn up for work and the onsight restaurant was not available. Staff were not interested and seemed to think none of this was a problem.

The staff were excellent. We saw the caretaker helping to change the tyre on an elderly couples car. Great food in the restaurant with the best homemade pickled onions I have ever tasted. The chef even came out to give us the recipe. 

A great weekend get away.

It was dirty, room had nasty smell. We had booked breakfast, but this was not available until 7am (if times were mentioned at booking, we wouldn't have booked because we had to leave for airport early). We decided to book a room in the hotel next door. No refund, not even de taxe de séjour. Also, at booking, it said there was a restaurant. This was not open for the evening. All in all, the whole place could use a refreshment; very outdated and unkept.

Standard Campanile hotel. The room was clean and the air conditioning was great as the outside temperature was in the high thirties. The food was ok and reasonably priced. Staff were very helpful. Ideally located for early flight from Bergerac airport.

Comfortable Room in the Heatwave!

As a stop over on a long journey this place suited me just fine.The night in question the restaurant wasn't open but as there were only a few guests I could understand why and it was no issue, There is a Buffalo grill across the road or a McDonalds.As usual the room as clean and comfortable and the free wifi was working well. I use Campanile a lot and have never had a bad room.

One night stopover

Our experience of this hotel was not pleasant, to say the least.
Our room was booked a few days before visiting Bergerac. On arrival, the receptionist said she could not see our booking. She called her manager. The manager could see our booking and asked to wait as our room was not ready.
After a 45 minutes wait, we were given the keys to the room. When we opened the room, it was occupied by other guests!! There were iPads, money, bags etc left in the room - a good job we are honest people!
This did not make any sense.
We went back to reception and explained that the room that they gave us was occupied! The manager did not believe us and send a member of staff to check. When they realised that the room was indeed occupied, they explained that they had done a mistake and were fully booked.

The team at the Campanile could not care less that one of their customer had their room invaded by strangers! In a funny turn of event, the actual occupants of the room arrived whilst we were waiting for our problem to be sorted. We took great pleasure in informing them that we had been able to enter their room and they the hotel management was not particularly bothered about any of this. They, a nice French couple, we're not best pleased!

In turn, I explained that I booked and paid for a room and that it was their responsibility to provide us with accommodation.
Eventually, the hotel manager contacted the local Ibis hotel and had us transferred there. 
This was actually a nice move as the rooms at the campanile are old and dingy. They smell damp. The whole hotel is awful. The bedroom blocks look like old sheds.
On the other hand, the Ibis hotel is brand new and very welcoming.
As they are much better budget options around the airport, avoid this one. Use Kyriad or Ibis instead.
Diabolical customer service.

Awful

Used this hotel now for about 4 years but was disappointed this year.  Tried two rooms neither had working air con which we needed after a hot day. The staff weren’t that bothered and nobody came to help despite repeated visits to reception no body came to help. 
It’s situation is convenient but feel a change coming on for next year.
