Very nice old house on the heights of Bergerac, well furnished. Comfortable and quiet room. Friendly home and ample breakfast with homemade jams. Possibility to buy wine from the property.

It's a good stop.

This is a gem found just outside  Bergerac. A family Vinyard, with a delightful house, comfortable bedrooms, and a delicious breakfast.

Serge and Betty are great hosts and really do make you feel welcome.

Simply great not much more to say really!!

What a geat Place

We booked, as always, based on the reviews on this site.  There were no negative reviews to be read in fact all were glowing.  This was to be a treat for our last night in France.  Dismayed and disappointed upon arrival is an understatement.  The lovely terrace to sit out on was an overgrown dusty courtyard, the 'chateau' was more of a rustic farm building the interior of which was pitch dark, foisty and rather spooky.   We were led through the scullery up a very dark windy staircase where the top landing had dust sheets covering furniture - not what you would expect for a top dollar establishment!  Our room was not a twin as booked and it appeared a huge problem to offer the correct accommodation that was booked over a month before.  After a long drive in unbearable heat, we had to get back in the car to find alternative accommodation suitably close to the airport for an early start the next morning.  To add insult to injury and without my consent, the full payment was taken from my credit card and reported to Booking.com as a 'no show'.  They refused to refund the payment on the grounds that it wasn't cancelled in time and ignored subsequent emails.

Steer Clear!

What a beautiful place to stay overnight. The Chateau was unbelievable, set in acres of vineyards, my photos couldn’t do it justice. We were made very welcome by the owners and their granddaughter. We were lucky enough to sample the wine produced there.....it was excellent. The Chateau is in walking distance of excellent restaurants and we were lucky enough to be there for the local market. We would definitely like to visit again and we highly recommend it.

Our stay in a Chateau in Bergerac.

This is a chateau just outside Bergerac.  It’s an easy walk or quick cab ride to the center of town.

The setting is idyllic, centuries-old, with a working vineyard.  Our room was spacious and elegant and opened onto a rose-edged terrace where we enjoyed a quiet lunch (purchased in town at a boulangerie) overlooking a meadow surrounded by ancient trees.  

The hosts (Betty, Serge, and Maria) are interested and interesting.  They shared their wine-making experience among other engaging topics.  We walked through the vines and toured the facilities.  Their wine is available in the US and we hope to locate it soon.  Breakfast was top notch.  

For us, Chateau Les Farcies du Pech was an unexpected joy and the highlight of our accommodations on this trip.  We hope to return to the area and will not stay anywhere else.

This chateau is an enchanting place to stay.

I can't say anything about this establishment, yet it's tempting, because I haven't been invited to stay there... They don't accept dogs (three little dogs!) which is their strictest right...except...it's not reported anywhere on their website...not good that!!!

Very peaceful chateaux, with a working vineyard (though only stopped one night, so didn't get chance to visit the wine making area or sample the wine).

It is close enough to Bergerac to be able to walk it in, in around 30-35 mins (and Bergerac well exceeded our expectations, didn't realise it was so picturesque).

The rooms are basically furnished with a smattering of antique furniture, giving it a nostalgic period feel

Luxury rustic chateaux in peaceful surroundings but only a short distance into the centre of Bergerac

Very nice place, 10 minutes walk from the city, but here you are calm, easy to park, nice and large rooms, home and breakfast on the top, your guests are vineyards and it's nice to talk about the area with them.

It's perfect.

On the hills of Bergerac, 5/10 minutes from the city centre by car (parking attention and difficult traffic) this beautiful old house is a wine-growing castle: the property produces excellent local raw, and you can enjoy the production. The room is spacious, comfortable, characteristic, the furniture of the time. It enjoys a superb view of the park. At the end of the day, guaranteed sun on the large terrace. The calm is remarkable, and it is a real cure for peace. The welcome is warm, the breakfast is plentiful, the fresh local products.

A yearning for peace in Bergerac

A fabulous little Château on the outskirts of Bergerac immersed in the greenery. A little cold but very spacious and beautiful rooms especially for those who appreciate the beautiful old things. Breakfast all around the same table with good local products. Maximum quiet and discretion.
