We found this hotel for night stop on way back from Italy, and on arriving from the East, out Sat' Nav brought us through the woods down into the river valley, to arrive on the road parallel to the river, and there was the hotel, with lovedly garden area from the hotel front to the riverside. The garden had families and couples enjoying a great time, being looked after by the staff serving food and drinks on a sunny afternoon. The room was very light and well appointed, with amazing bathroom and shower. As it was Sunday the restaurant was closed, but the owner recommended and reserved a table for us at a restaurant in Besancon, which was only 5 minutes away along the road parallel to the river. Very comfortable bed, good nights sleep in this quiet location, and a nice breakfast. This is a good place to stop for Besancon, and easy to re-join your journey route. 

Very quiet, lovely hotel find.

We stayed for a couple of nights. Two rooms one for ourselves and one for my mother. We wanted to arrive on a sunday and their restaurant was open all the time. Sunday evening can be difficult as several of the hotels we tried had their restaurants closed on Sunday evenings. We arrived in the afternoon the place was very busy, it was a hot day and everyone was outside eating. We were shown personally to our rooms, a nice touch. The rooms were modern, the room at the back was very dim even with the lighting (energy saving) but needs a bit more wattage to be effective. Our frnt room was lovely, both were better than expected. Both rooms would benefit from a fan as it was very hot. But the rooms have only been opened recently and there are improvements on going. We had a lovely stay. It was really nice to be sitting outside on the terrace for our 'apero' and for our meals. It was nice to walk along the towpath. It is flat and quite accessible. Breakfast was nice, service attentive.
Just outside Besancon but the town centre is an easy drive 5 mins.

Intriguing rooms

Room small, no door on toilet, no ceiling light, smoke alarm disabled. Food adequate - first 2 choices of starters were 'off'.  Owner spent all evening lounging and playing with mobile phone, assistant did all the running around.  Quoted EUR81 for the room and charged EUR89.  Could not recommend.

Nice setting, but ......

A small hotel with a vast shady terrace facing the river Doubs. Nice place to go out fishing! Our room at the back side was rather small but conveniently enough. Didn't hear any noise from traffic.
Nice shower. Due to the Tour de France the boulanger could not bring fresh bread or croissants.
