We stayed here for two nights in order to visit the Citadel. It proved a very good choice.

Although near main roads, the hotel is quiet and has lots of good parking. It is clean and tidy, and our room was very spacious with a good bathroom and separate toilet. Really excellent value.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was served in a large room, again uncrowded, and was replenished as needed.

There is a bus stop a few minutes walk away, from which there are frequent buses to the city centre. It takes about 30 minutes, and the cash fare was €1.40. This was much preferable to taking a car into the downtown.

The main drawback, and the only reason that this isn't a five star review, is the lack of places to eat. There is one restaurant, the Grill du Trappeur, within a fairly short walk, but the walk is complex and not particularly pleasant. 



Quiet and spacious

We arrived and the check in and access system, as advised by email, worked perfectly! There were plenty of places to park, all free of charge. The hotel, although ideal for us, as we were only staying one night on our way down south, would not suit anyone looking for bars and restaurants as it was too far away from anywhere to be able to eat out. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and in a very quiet location, with only the car wash in view - ideal for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was well presented and plentiful, with plenty of seats and an endless supply of all the food offered. Staff were friendly. We would definitely book again if we're in the area.

A peaceful nights stay

First time at a B&B hotel.
Upon arrival the hotel looked a bit like stacked containers, a strange sight.
There was a lot of parking place in the front and back of the hotel and parking place was clean.
When we entered the hotel there was sitting a strange men (bum) in front of the entrance, and because it was late the door was already close and we had to use the computer to get in, the men started to ask questions,foot,money,.. not so pleasant.
The hotelstaff noticed this quickly and let us in and opend the reception again specially for us, and they apologize. 2min later a police car arrived and they removed the men from the property. So solved perfectly.
When arriving in the room we where surprised how big the room was.
Never experienced such good mattresses and pillows in a budget hotel!
The toilet was separated from the bathroom. In the bathroom was a bathtub with a big showerhead (rainshower), magnicifent!
The flatscreen TV worked well, french tv and 4-5 english/german tv.
WIFI worked perfect!
In the morning the breakfast was basic, with croissants and bacon/eggs, but perfect for the price.
I visited a lot of other hotels from another big hotel chain, B&B hotel was cheaper/cleaner/bigger/better. At B&B They see me again!

Great!

Arrived early in the morning, easy to access hotel, room was large (think it was a family room), clean and comfortable.  Hotel was quiet and had a good restful sleep.  Located slightly north of Bescancon which was ideal as we were heading north

Basic and Clean

I have stayed in a lot of b&b hotels across France but never in Besancon. The standard of these hotels is pretty uniform and although they are franchised their rooms are clean and airy (most have aircon) and their breakfasts are unlimited. They have over the last few years started to re brand as this one is in the new corporate colours (green aint good lol) the old were a nice blue but this was new and clean and breakfast as always was fresh, hot and plenty of it, the coffee for me is excellent but i do know some people dont like it. I will continue to stay in B&B's as i find them the best value for money in France.

Excellent stay, excellent value.

I use B&B Hotels alot in Europe, very reasonable rates, clean rooms, pets allowed, private parking and good wi-fi. good position means quiet nights sleep.
