Great little hotel 5 min walk to Cotes Basques beach - so fantastic location. Also 5 min to Jardin Publique for airport transfers. 

The room was quite small but comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. I had just stayed at a hotel in Bayonne same class, without a pillow or a blanket, so I was quite happy. 

Reception staff were responsive and helpful and recommended nice walks. Cannot be faulted, for a 2-star at that price. 

This is a clean and extremely affordable hotel located very close to the heart of the action in Biarritz.   

The only caveat would be that the shower and rooms are fairly small so if you are a larger individual you may want to consider other options.

Otherwise the staff were wonderful and I really enjoyed this hotel.  I would recommend this hotel.

Great little Affordable Hotel

I had a very small single room which was clean and tidy. Not a bad location - 5 minute walk to town and beaches. The staff were friendly.
There didn't seem to be a lounge to relax in. I saw a small breakfast room. 

Hotel Park Mazon

Me and my partner stayed for one night, location was amazing and the room was ok ( bathroom very small so if you bigger person then forget shower ) . On arrival I find the receptionist really friendly, explained everything we needed and offered breakfast, we have asked him if we can decide in the morning, as we would like to see first if we fancy what he offers, he said " yes, no problem". In the morning we decided to go to breakfast area to see the breakfast and find someone to pay the breakfast too, suddenly the same receptionist start shouting at us in french, at first I thought he is shouting for payment, so I was keep saying"I will pay now"..he was keep yelling at me like if I was some kind of criminal, even stop speaking in English and just kept yelling in french. I understood after while that the breakfast has to be prebooked but that's not what he said at check in. We was glad we didn't pay for breakfast as there is food market two minutes walk and they do absolutely lovely breakfast. 
Wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy...even my mom wouldn't ever talk to me like that! 

Rude staff

Why bother with a hotel if you can't sleep There? We were told check out at 11am. Why is this? International check out is 12! We also had a knock on our doors making sure we were going at 10.45 the cheek! 

Made check out early!

Positives:

- Location - close to Biarritz town centre and beaches are walking distance
- Staff generally helpful and one speaks English
- Decent sized window made up for having no air con
- Cheap compared to most other places in BIarritz
- Room pretty clean and functional, TV in room is nice

Negatives:

- Bathroom is tiny with very little room to move around or dry yourself
- Shower runs hot and cold with no warning
- Room conditions mean clothes/beachwear don't dry overnight
- Only one pillow per bed, with one spare pillow provided. So if both of you like to sleep with two pillows then tough. 
- On our first morning, we slept in as we'd been travelling the day before and then kept awake by a thunderstorm for a lot of the night. By late morning, as we were about to leave, the owner knocked to ask "Do you need anything? Because we need to clean the room." Nothing wrong with that but it's a rude way to ask. 
- We were able to leave our bags in the hotel after check out until our flight which was in the evening. Upon returning to pick up our bags, I asked to use the bathroom (bearing in mind, we had just stayed in this hotel for 5 nights) and was told that it was "a hotel, not a public toilet". What a cheek! The way it was said was very rude and not the way to treat a paying customer who had forked out a lot of money to stay during high season.

Overall, this hotel is okay but nothing special. There is no luxury or real comfort. The host's attitudes were usually nice but then they were suddenly quite rude on a few occasions. I would definitely look elsewhere for accommodation if I returned to Biarritz.
