Travelling through France with no plans (allegedly camping!!), we thought Blaye looked like a good over nighter. Ended up staying 3 wonderful days! Lara, Les and Clarissa are fantastical warm and welcoming people, so helpful and friendly. Les’s wine tour was the most enjoyable one we’ve ever been on (to be honest we would of paid just to listen to him, he’s funny, fascinating and charming, let alone to sample 75 Euro a bottle wine!) The Villa was perfect for us, bright airy room, lovely furniture and pictures and having a kitchen there was perfect! We bought many goodies on market day, a bottle of fabulous wine from Les’s shop and took a picnic to the park just across the street, pure heaven! The area is beautiful, many things to do and see, so despite being on a camping holiday we stayed 3 nights! Thanks so much for helping us achieve this Lara, you also gave us some fabulous tips on where to go and what to see (La Marina and Big Red Bus, where the sunsets were stunning, we loved!) we hope if you’re ever in Shropshire you’ll come and visit us!
